That is wonderful!!!... And thank you so much for doing the 128k version there Ralf - I so missed my ability to throw on the 48k version!!!... Wonderful work guys!!!!... I can't imagine how many man-hours it took you all to reverse engineer it to figure out where to put all those graphics!!!!

I suppose about 3-5 hours :) Graphics routines are the easiest,you just search for the code writing to screen memory.
Then of course you have to draw the new graphics. I'm only an average graphician and it takes me some time to draw something and fit into into attributes.
Understanding game logic is another thing. Doing my hack I disassembled maybe only about 10% of actual code responsible for fighting. I could go deeper and try to create some new attack patterns etc. but understanding it all would really take months.
I only use real hardware so is there a TAP, TZX or WAV file of the 128k version?!

There was a time when new things went into the WOS archive, and could be found by infoseek. Sadly, WOS isn't really providing the full archive services any more (hence one good mirror being a lifesaver if you want a magazine). Here's to better times if and when things get fixed. But in the meantime, I am a bit worried that hard work like this isn't being preserved for posterity.

I cannot check it out now but I recall that there were download links for both models though I didn't placed a play link for Ralf's 128K mod because of the lack of the 2-player mode.
I think there was a russian hack upon Ralf's mod to keep the original 2-player mode.
Anyway Pegaz has just served you a fine dowload and Ralf was going to produce a new version for Mr Bum ;)
I loved Renegade. On my speccy+ I had a strange problem with the Renegade version I had - it hung if I lost a single life (not the energy bar mind). Cue endless hours of loading and playing Renegade over and over again. I think I made it to third level without losing any lives.
