New Game: Micro INC

Yet another match-3 game made in a week just to finish my "1 game a month" challenge for 2014. Again Z88DK with SP1 lib and targeting the ZX Spectrum 48K.

Nothing fancy. Match 3 tiles or more. Time limit. An increasing number of tiles must be removed to level up. Some tiles are special (x5, time up, unbreakable).

EDIT: updated to version 1.0.1 fixing a bug in the redefine keys code.

PS i am not so crazy about the font you used for the game over and other messages...I would have liked a different one (more similar to the one used for the big text messages) but other than that really a great game!

I got some inspiration from a video of a C64 puzzle game (match 5 or something like that). That gave me the idea of throwing blocks from 4 directions.

Everything else is pretty standard for a match-3 game I think.

I am a mess with this game which is good! There's plenty of room to improve my skills :)
The fire key can't be redefined.

Oh, dear! You're right, there was a bug in the redefine keys code. I've updated the ZIP with 1.0.1 version fixing the issue.

Tried it... Good twist of the Columns idea of game, with a nice execution, you definetely have talent for Spectrum games ;)

Is there an ending? or levels are infinite?

The game will end in game over, eventually :) This is a "beat the hi score" type of game.
