Turkey madras (from the Hairy Dieters second book, and fabulous it was too) from the leftovers. Added extras of cauliflower, sweet potato and mushrooms. Will make a turkey and ham pie tonight to finish everything off.

It was really more-ish! Considering there was only a table-spoon of oil, a good seasoning of salt and some beef stock (oxo cube) it was fairly healthy and very tasty. Enough left over to freeze 5 small-ish portions on top of the five it fed (with seconds)!

Last of turkey being used in a home-made turkey, ham and leek pie tonight. Pics to follow. Not one bit of that turkey wasted - I even make stock out of the bones.

Hairy Dieters? That' the Hairy Bikers healthy alternative book innit?

I think my wife ordered that for herself while we were back in England? Will have to check out her cookbook collection when I'm done listening to mel's radio show :D

That's the one, well three now. Can't recommend them enough. My missus shed five stone this year by using their recipes along with walking the dog. The food is proper food just done a bit more healthy, and the Bolognese absolutely destroys anything out of a jar. And they're quick to prepare too.

EDIT: vier kartoffeln und zwei haehnchenscnitzeln(?). Pea challenge awaits.

I'd need night vision goggles to count anything on that plate..! :p

I'd like to dispute the number of potatoes.
  • edited January 2015
There were drei kartoffeln but I cut one (eins) in half, making vier.

It looks like there may be another potato under all the peas, but it's just a really big pile of peas, sorry.

think auto levels give ya a better "chance" of getting closer to the numbers , but the original is a bit blury or pixelated still

Heh - reminds me of the trick I used to play on my kids when they moaned they only had two potatoes on their plate. I'd chop a couple in half - there you go, four potatoes! They used to fall for it too! :-D
