Starblitz on FUSE

I have this game, both sides, and using FUSE. I can load side B that utlizes the Fuller box and when the game starts it certainly recognises the Fuller box in terms of sounds and yet I can't find any way to set the joystick for the Fuller joystick, even though the reviews state it is Fuller joystick compatible.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I know its not my emulator as Invasion of the Body Snatchas, which also uses the Fuller box/joystick and it works fine and recognises the box and joystick.

    Port 0x7f is never read so it might not be joystick fuller compatible.
