whosampled is great. before that came along the only site I could find that did roughly a similar thing was "the-breaks.com" which was horrible to navigate

17 tracks sampling that tune, the only one I actually have in my collection is Public Enemy's one on Fear Of A Black Planet

    Yeah that's the idea :p

I was working with this crazy crusty who was about 10 years older than me, I kept singing that and adding more words to it, in the end he threatened to stab me if I sung it again cos' he couldn't stop thinking about it

hah. channel 5's got Elvis Comeback 68 Special on, I don't even like Elvis but he'll do, just to get that out of my head...:)

seriously though, even got a couple of mates who love Elvis but I don't hear it. he's like an average karaoke singer?
  • edited January 2015
Elvis is proper sh*te, never understood the appeal.

Tried to, but no, there's several ye olde singer types who are bearable but Elvis just annoys me, never liked him, never will.

king of Rock n' Roll my arse there's a million actual people who did Rock n' Roll who could've took that crown and none of them are a fat hillbilly sell out prick, with no more talent than the fat bloke with no mates in the bar hogging the karaoke machine in the hope some half human looking minger will feel sorry for him and recognize his talent.

    Rant over :D

If I could favourite a post I would favourite this.

    Totally agree 100%.

Completely over-rated, couldn't write his own songs, barely played a musical instrument and to be quite honest was a pretty average singer.

If he appeared 2 years later he would have been just another recording artist who would disappear within a couple of years.
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

    rant approved!

didn't write any of his songs either, think he's got like one co-writing credit on a song? he's basically the Robbie Williams of his day.

Brilliant! More Oi! and nasty niffs to listen to, and hopefully with a classic Ivor Biggun tune.
