In addition to Windows emulators listed by karingal, I use ZXMAK2, which is pretty good and is being improved constantly. In addition, you may want to look at Unreal, which does not even attempt to fully emulate Sinclair and Amstard models, yet is the only emulator with good support for a lot of ex-USSR hardware.

EmuZwin is also worth a look for the PC, not sure if its still updated though.
Even not updated, still one of the best ZX emulators and especially Russian clones. With unique features, no other emu has.
Here, UnreallSpeccy should be added to list - ugly UI interface, but unique emulation for Russian clones.
EmuZWin (http://kolmck.net/e_apps.htm) is great, with some unusual features (such as the map maker and the ability to run 256 colour games - http://www.yantragames.com/ZX256.html) but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (unless they need the unusual features) as it does tend to crash occasionally, plus different versions of the emulator have different bugs.
A real shame, as otherwise it really is a great program. Does anyone know why the author stopped working on it, as from what I can remember he was keen on improving it.
I suggest to write yours evaluation of each emulator in different features.
It will helps to understand what features exactly is demand and important :)

It happened to me in the past the with Spin that it crashed. Or somehow became "damaged" so it hang at start and never went after that. Maybe as first attempt just try deleting it and unpacking to disk again.

As far as I am concerned, the ones I use the most are (please note that I employ a Windows 7 64-bit system):
Ah good call, I forgot ZXMAK2.

For example: Speed, Smooth video, Supported formats, UI usability, Debugger features, Supported models, etc
He'll have a long wait!
Thanks, but this does not bode well for SpecEMU - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.woodmass/specemu.html
Well and truely done :D
Caught me that's for sure :D
The joke is on Woody now as he's lost access to the account and now can't delete them off the net...
GRRRRRRRRRRR!
Anyone have any reasons why If/why I should jump to a different emulator ?
I welcome all input :)
Cheers Ben
But SpecEmu, Spin, Fuse, Spud, ZXMak2 & Zero are all significant upgrades on any machine running XP or above.
Ben
What version of Windows are you using?
What version of Spin did you download?
