Are they black gangsters ? Because they are talking like they are, that is one of the things which really bug me, putting on a false accent to sound cool. It just shows how small the human brain has got. They have almost gone back to the bad old days of The Black & White Minstrals. btw, think you're taking the whole 'gangsta' thing a bit out of context. there's a lot of non violent rap out there. the jazzy 90s east coast stuff wasn't about guns + gangs at all really. anyway as a punk rocker you must be used to songs about randomly glassing people in pubs and spitting on businessmen in the street !
Back in my day, the enemy was the whole control system itself, not individuals, it was ok to have a pop at politics and power, because change for the better can happen. But to advocate killing someone for looking at you disrespectfully, first is STUPID and secondly is assumes that you Deserve any respect in the first place. In my time you earned respect, not demanded it for free !
