Birthday threads and threads like this one remind us of our own mortality. That's why they become annoying after a while. But I don't mind.

I only found out about Mr. Ferrero when I read the story behind the chocolates. Ferrero Rocher and Mon Cheri chocolates were considered a delicacy by my family when I was a kid. They were given as Christmas presents and usually a pack of three for me and my sister. If we could taste three in one year, we considered it a privilege. I also found out the cherries for Mon Cheri are from a specific region in Portugal. None of this is a huge deal for most of you, but Mr. Ferrero had a small impact in my childhood. R.I.P. Mr. Ferrero.

    Ferrero worth more than Ferrari?

A fascinating life to reflect on.

Much like tge ZX Spectrum, Kinder eggs are too exciting for America.

Rochers are best served in 8 bits.

Tic Tac Toe has several Spectrum variations

    Erm

Clive Sinclair has Nutella when spreading (his Poker bets)?

    You're disagreeing with a fact?

He's not the only one, there is at the very least myself, Ralf and Sokarah.

    Fact.

Yes! yes I am it wouldn't be the first time we've been lied to. One example is the so called science of Palaeontology invented by scientist to try and disprove the Bible.

Throughout history we have been lied to and as a freeman of the land I retain my right to question any and all so called "facts"

Over the years I have found a variety of lost items inside of Spectrum computers, I once found a hazelnut, perhaps it came from one of those round chocolate balls, made by The Incredible Hulk himself !

Hazelnuts were added to chocolate to pad it out and save cocoa during times of shortage. Then Ferrero cottoned on to marketing it as a speciality thus saving a ton of cash in manufacturing and selling at a huge markup. Not a bad business for a product that tastes almost as bad as American chocolate.

The real downside of this is every time I get offered a 'complimentary chocolate cr?pe' after a slap-up feast in a Greek restaurant it turns out to be f*cking Nuttella.

The only decent product they've made is quite hard to get hold of outside Italy, and even more stupidly expensive. But if you ever see 'Pocket Coffee' give it a try - it's a VERY runny liquid centre dark chocolate but with a seriously perky espresso shot inside.

I remember in the UK they used to sell Espresso shot beans, which were a chocolate coffee bean with a really strong shot of espresso coffee inside. In about 1965 I used to buy a bag of them and after just a couple of them I was buzzing, they really were that strong ! Perhaps they are the same thing !

Thank god it's not just me then! I'm not the worlds biggest fan of chocolate anyway but FR's are bloody awful.
