    I'll try again

    T-Bag.

T-Bag meant something very different in those days. I loved this theme. It sounded great on our big 22" GEC Color telivision

Our old Telly. Wood effect and plastic. What else for 1982. We had the TV until 1999 when we replaced it with a wide screen. However, this TV was given to a friend and outlived our next two TVs. I don't know where it is now. I'd like it back.

I should say that Robin of Sherwood, both series (thought the first Robin (acted by Michael Praed) moreso obviously) and the theme music and the occasional music in each episode is why a early 1990s multi-million hollywood production failed so abyssmally for me.

It was as though Kevin Kostner had dipped his flaming arrow in cheese first then lit it.

On the other hand, this 80s series... is fantastic, atmospheric, mysterious and amazingly filmed in places - they seem to use a bit of lens filtering at times.

I was watching an old episode of that on ITV Encore over the weekend. It's actually still very watchable (if only to see Ray Winstone threaten a corrupt abbot with a knife and ask him, "now then, which is yer favourite ear?"

just looking for any speccy 80s tv show games that attempted to do the theme tunes

knight rider one is weird. it's about 75% right but whoever did it either couldn't get it right, or wanted to put their own spin on it. so it's like 'almost' the knight rider theme, lol

As excellent as the Hitchhiker theme is, I prefer the tracks original edit by the eagles

Try the EastEnders spectrum game and listen to the (Wham!) Music Box version, but please do not play the game otherwise you'll have nightmares.

not sure what you mean by that, listened to it and it's fairly accurate. then I tried to play the game obviously, because you said not to:)

had a listen to the Neighbours game one afterwards and that also sounds like it goes wrong at the end

When I had my old Nokia 3310 complete with data cable, I went through a spell of putting unusual theme tunes as my ring tone. My favourite for the reaction of others was Cagney and Lacey. It sounded great in MIDI, but here it is from the television show:

Also used for a Spanish chain of supermarkets, it says here. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Blackadder 2's endings (every episode had a different ending tune, which might not sound good out of context, but after watching an episode, it was great to see a funny relevantly worded song round off the experience!). Has any other series done this?

Yeah used to love that. The line "Who gives a toss, no one" at the end of one of the episodes still makes me laugh

It's not just you. I'd just written a mini-rant about how gutted I was when they replaced the Alan Hawkshaw theme with what sounded like a bad cover version of Cagney and Lacey, when I saw your post.

OK, slightly different tempos, but same chords and similar-sounding melody. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Massive Attack were inspired by that Clannad song.
