****ing hell! Thanks for bringing some repressed memories back to the surface.
  • Anybody posted this classic yet? Too many pages to go back

Went through all the pages to avoid posting duplicates. Thanks to those who mentioned Space 1999, Ulysses 31, V, Cheers, Mysterious cities of Gold, and Dallas. Ulysses 31 was just a cartoon but it freaked me out every time it showed the people floating in the air. V also had a profound effect on me. The theme itself was enough to feel afraid.

Here's some tunes that have not been mentioned. I understand they may not be considered "best" by many, and some are not even in English, but thought they were worth sharing. :)

Don't watch more than the first 8 seconds or you will be dreaming of weeing yourself surrounded by melting milk bottles.

Wow, there's a lot of great posts in here. This one caught my eye. So seventies, so drug inspired. Crazy but in a cool way.

That was a very popular programme here and a favourite of mine when I was a child. Franks Kelly, who you may know as Father Jack Hackett, played the archetypal mad scientist villain, Dr. Astro.

    Another classic of the 70s:

Couple of tunes from Family Ness..

And the music from a cartoon that I haven't seen in English since about 1982, so if anybody finds an English version let me know please! Wattoo Wattoo :)

Then the always freaky Chocky music....

Terrahawks was also a bit freaky, due to the evil Zelda...

I have fond memories of Battle Of The Planets, even if we did get a rather butchered and reconstructed version of the original Japanese cartoons...

    And then there's this....

I got a record of the He-man song, which had a Beast Man song as a B-side...but I can only find the A-side on Youtube!

I've also added all the tunes into a huge playlist on my Youtube channel, so if anyone wants to listen to all the theme tunes at any time, they can find them here.... :)

OK so it was written in 1963, but I used to watch this in the 80s, so it counts... Henry Mancini FTW
