Well I was playing skyrim until the wifes little cousin realised that if you position the camera behind my character while he's sneaking, and do the Fire Breath shout it looks like he's farting flames.
That is what I have been looking at for the last 15 minutes.....It's starting to wear thin a little now :D

I was going to play some more Shadow of Mirror tonight, but I'm still downloading the latest 8gb patch!
I'm still really enjoying it though. I had a brilliant moment last night for example. I had a chief who had a power level of 12 when I first uncovered him, but through diying a few times etc, he quickly rose to 20, without me even seeing him! So, I decided I'd best try and kill him before he got any more powerful. I went to his area (very top right of the map, by the big wall construction) and thought I'd killed him on a mission I'd started up there (it turned out to be someone who looked the same), so I was happily looking for the items that were there when I saw a guy on his own. I stealth dropped onto him and it turned out to be the level 20 guy I was after and as he was vulnerable to stealth attacks, I killed him instantly! As there was no one else there either, I just calmly walked away
I bought the season pass too as it was 40% off, so I've got a lot of this game still to go. 9 hours in and I'm around 20% complete :-)
I can't kill Darklurker in NG+ with a melee build. Tried respeccing to get INT up without sacrificing STR or DXT and still couldn't do much damage. Even with the Pyromancy at +10. the Chaos Storm is too random that it barely does any damage with me. So I've given up on that with this character and I've just moved right on to NG++ to buy the stuff from the Chancellor.
Buying the stuff from him will get me the Pyromancy and Miracle achievements, using the Darklurker soul and trading it will get me the last Hexes, and entering the last covenant (the one in Majula) are the only things I've still to do.
Bloody annoying that I'll not be able to do it all with one character. I've still got another melee build ~5 hours in at Huntsman's Copse so I may go to that one to get the Hexes. Hopefully I'll have better luck pre NG+.

Seem to be getting through it the quickest I ever have with this go, so shouldn't be too long until I get to where I was before and everything becomes new and shiny after that! :D
Just reached...
Spoiler:
..the prison, after getting caught trying to steal a diamond from the palace and helping Queen whass'ername get out the sewer..
..about 5 hours in! Can tell I'm going to need to start grinding levels soon though, as I remember being slightly under-leveled by the time I reached 10 hours last playthrough. Usually the random battles that piss me off these days and make me go play something else, though....

I quite like the system in FFXII, the way you can just set up your gambits and let your party 'do its thing', without having to interact much in battles. Also the absence of battle screens, it all happens in real time.
I guess the downside is that the time you save fighting you spend setting up all the auto-commands.

Oh it's definitely not as bad as in previous FF games, but it's still a chore having to grind to level up....think my attention span and patience have been ruined by the internet, and the fact that I always think my time playing JRPGs could be used doing something else...even although I'll probably just end up watching 5 hours of funny cat videos or something if I go to check my emails! Don't seem to have that problem with Skyrim or GTAV though....
But yeah, I struggle with random battles now. Going back to all the RPGs on PS1 will be difficult, but I still have loads to play through..Grandia, Breath Of Fire 3 & 4, Jade Cocoon...and loads of others! I'll hopefully get through them one day! :)
Went back to try and mop up the last few percent of Shadow Of Mordor (@96%). Managed to finish the final dagger mission, which was surprisingly easy considering how difficult I found it before, which leaves just the Hunting challenges. Mopped up a couple of those but do you think I can find a Dire Caragor anywhere? Got fed up after nearly an hour of finding nothing. You'd think the game would recognise you're on that mission and spawn them a bit more regularly.

I feel your pain. Last night, I was just about to get the Lucatiel achievement against the Smelter Demon when the bar-steward killed her seconds before I waded in with the killing stroke!! That was the last one (I think) I could attempt with her on this NG and I really don't fancy intensifying a bonfire just yet.

I had more problems with The Rotten with her. Thankfully I always got killed right after she did so it didn't matter. I didn't even know how to get her stuff at that point. Luckily there was a message near the drop to get to her otherwise I'd probably still be stuck on that fight
I'm doing fairly well in NG++. The only real problem I've had is just now where I can't get past the bloody Congregation! That was an easy fight the previous twice. This time I can't even get one of the magicians down. I think I'll have to go back and get the NPC to help for that one.
So because I got stuck there I thought I'd better get started on the Lost Bastille and get the Sinner's Rise bonfire. Thought sod it and on to see how far I'd get. I almost got killed by the big brutes in the water. But I managed to clear out the area after that without any problem at all. I only had 7 estus to take on the boss so I went back for Lucatiel for some distraction. Got through it no bother at all which is weird as it's always caused a bit of a problem.
I still hate that bloody Iron King fight though. But at least I only fell off once in my 4 attempts this time
I only need to kill Freja and Rotten now to get to the castle and buy the stuff from the Chancellor. I'm dreading The Rotten. Even with 2 NPCs he mainly targets me. Getting to Freja shouldn't be a problem as I'm killing the spiders with one hit. If only I could get past the bloody Congregation!!

I've just had a quick balst of The Order 1886 and I'm enjoying it :-) But, I tend to agree with what people have been saying about it though. Yes, it looks the business! Honestly, it's stunning. Not just in the looks, but the animation is fluid and there's a massive amount of detail in the world. It's a surprisingly empty world though. There's a lot there, but it's of the "look but don't touch" though. There are a few collectables, but those have been few and far between :-(
Combat is a solid cover based thing. Infact, it's reminding me of Matt Hazard in that it's a solid cover shooter, but it's probably an underrated aspect really, mainly to do with the AI which is a but dumb to be honest! Enemies really will just stand there at times and let you blast them in the face  The werewolves are very different though! Those are much better as they move alarmingly fast and are quite had to see in the dark. Having said that, I did notice they seem to have a set pattern to their attacks. They'll run at you, attack (you can block with a QTE, but I've never managed to react fast enough yet), then run away, returning along the same path if you stand in the same spot. But, as they are so fast, they provide a bit of a challenge (the only part I've died in so far).
The story is pretty good too, but there's at least one plot hole. They have referenced [j]Jack the Ripper[/i] twice. Once in a newspaper and once in a cut scene. [/i]But[/i], the game is set two years before the Ripper killings (those were in 1888 and even then, modern criminologists think that Jack was only responsible for 3 of the 5 killings he's known for, but that's a different conversation ;-) ). It looks like the story is going to be predictable at the moment, but as this game is "story first", I'm expecting it to change and throw me a few curve balls.
It's a good game, but I'm going to say that it's probably one best left for when it drops in price a bit. Oddly though, it's actually cheaper on the Playstation Store than it is in GAME (?49.99 online and ?54.99 in GAME)

One thing I forgot to say, if you use a homeward bone or the feather before the victory bit disappears you might get back to the fire without the boss being dead. I can't remember how quick you've to be but it's possible to do it.
One time I had to go back to the bonfire in No Man's Wharf because she fell off the platform while boarding the bloody boat!

Tried it. Failed miserably :-) My Dexterity is about -5k these days!

She's bloody useless. When I get that Achievement I'm going to nail her ass into the ground at first sight, sin level be damned!
I was experimenting with weapons tonight on an easy boss in NG+. That Smelter Demon Sword I mentioned before is seriously powerful. First go at the Rat King (who was my nemesis for days when I first got the game) and nailed him (and everyone else in the vicinity) in 3 strong attacks with that sword.
I've also been upping Adaptability and Poise through the rings. The ring that affects enemies poise is a real game changer. Iron Keep is a doddle with it.
Also, do you know what the orange outline in the travel menu means? I've got Tower of Flame, No Man's Wharf and Lost Bastille with an orange outline instead of a white one. I thought it might be the PvP areas, but the Iron Keep and Grave of Saints still have the normal white outline.
Found out what it is. They're where a particularly high population of online players are congregating, but quite why your GoS wasn't orange is a bit odd as that's one of the major online hubs.
Hmm...looks like I'd better get back to playing Skyrim again...just found out through a post on Twitter that there's 3 hidden bosses I haven't heard anything about until now! One in the main game, one in Dragonborn and one in Dawnguard...You have to do some pretty random stuff to get them to appear too!
Spoiler:
In the main game for Skyrim: Vulthuryol in Blackreach. If you use the full Unrelenting Force shout on the giant orb in Blackreach, he'll swoop down and begin his attack.
In Dawnguard: The Reaper in the Soul Cairn. He is in a secret building in the Soul Cairn, and can only be summoned by gathering all 3 Reaper Gem fragments and placing them on his altar.
In Dragonborn: Karstaag in Castle Karstaag Ruins. If you retrieve his skull from the back of Glacial Cave, then place it on his throne in Castle Karstaag Ruins, you'll be in for one of the toughest battles of the game.
She's bloody useless. When I get that Achievement I'm going to nail her ass into the ground at first sight, sin level be damned!
I killed what's her face that switches the paths at the end of my NG+ run and my sin level was still nonexistant. I never got invaded more than usual in NG++ afterwards so go for it :)
I've also been upping Adaptability and Poise through the rings. The ring that affects enemies poise is a real game changer. Iron Keep is a doddle with it.
I've only had a problem in the Iron Keep with getting hit hard, I've always been able to stagger the knights which was a surprise. I thought they'd lowered the poise for them to make up for the speed and damage.

Ah, that explains why it changes. That's good to know. Speaking of other muppets online, I got invaded in the Forest of Giants in the valley near the lizard cave. I was level 60ish with my 2nd build (I was just clearing out the area as I hadn't done it before). He had greatsword and one of the heavy shields but he was only hitting me for around 400. Managed to kill him and thought I'd look at his achievements to see how far he'd got. He hasn't got one achievement on it at all. Not even the Self Recollection one so I'm guessing he was a cheater.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.

I'm becoming a bit of a killing machine now, and I'm only level 25, I'm not finding the main quests very hard at all really, but am certainly finding a challenge in the misc ones. I took down my first giant a couple of days ago, and I've been killing dragons pretty much since day one.
Infact every time I see a dragon now I run after it until it sees me

Hehe...best way to treat Dragons really, as later into my last playthrough I spent ages looking for them coz I wanted a few more dragon souls ! :D
As for that spoiler box, there's nothing really to do with the story..just thought I'd better spoiler tag it for those who want to muck about and see if they can unlock the hidden stuff themselves. Although they'd have to be doing really well to unlock it without seeing how...I'd never have found them!
I've got a list of all the other easter eggs and things somewhere..I'll post that in a week or two so you can go hunting for them once you've got a bit further into the game! ;)
I've decided in my game I'm not picking sides really, I don't want to join the Empire as they seem like dicks, and I thought yeah I'll join the Stormcloaks at first simply because the game made me think the empire are dicks.
But in my experience so far the Imperial soldiers talk to you, ask you how things are going and don't attack unless you're aggressive, the Stormncloaks are rude, paranoid, and attack you while you're mid conversation with one of them?
Every time I speak to Stormcloaks the one I'm talking to talks in a civil manner while the other couple he's with keep shouting the usual crap "You never should've came here!", or "You need to leave", then before I know it there's mythical rebellious warriors of old with American accents attacking me.
I'm still playing The Order 1886 and really enjoying it! I think people are being too unkind to this really. They all seem to be jumping on the "it's all cut scenes" bandwagon and although some game chapters are all story (10 for example) there's a good amount of action too!
The graphics are stunning of course and the story is compelling, but the atmosphere is something special IMO. It's really sucked me in so far and makes me want to see more and explore a little when there's chance (is not as "on rails" as made out either).
The only reason I've not finished it yet, and I'm about 5 or 6 hours in and according to reports, I should either be finished or nearly finished by now, is that it's obviously pushing the hardware to its limits as the cooling fan is on constantly, so I'm worried it'll overheat, but that's just me being cautious. It's not doing the "helicopter" noise like it does when it's really pushed, so it'll be ok.
It's a good way of boosting your trophies too! It doesn't give them away (you have to work for them) but they are all either silver or gold with only 1 bronze! It sounds like it'll be a relatively easy platinum too :D
Played through Metroid Prime from the Metroid Prime Trilogy, on both Veteran and Hypermode difficulties (which equals Normal and Hard mode from the GC version). Really enjoyed it - as I last played the GC version something like 11 years ago, I didn't always remember exactly where to go next, so even the exploration factor felt fresh. Overall I still consider this a brilliant game.
The Wii controls work quite fine (as long as you turn off the free aim while locked-on), the only thing which is really worse is the visor/beam switching, that IMO works way better on GC D-pad/C-stick. OTOH, you can flick the controller to do the Morph Ball Jump, which makes couple puzzles considerably easier.
As for the bosses, they are still fairly challenging on Hypermode. Metal Ridley was even changed so the Boost Ball and Wavebuster tricks don't work on him anymore. I admit I even died once to both Omega Pirate and Metal Ridley on Hypermode before I perfected my strategy because of these changes.
I am really tempted to move right on to Metroid Prime 2: Echoes now. :)

Another game I've yet to finish! I'll be starting it again, as although I got close to the end last time, I left it a couple of months and totally forgot what I was doing! Great game though!
I downloaded Sonic & All Stars Racing Evolved on 360 in the weekend sale. It's really good...basically Mario Kart but with Sega characters. It adds things like races where you have to run through rings, or chase and shoot down a tank...things that make it a little different! Highly recommend it! It even has Alex Kidd in it...and rather oddly, Wreck-It Ralph! :)
I completed The Order 1886 this afternoon and although I thoroughly enjoyed it, the ending really does come from out of nowhere! It's almost as if they ran out of time to finish the last chapter, so it just ends
It reminded me of the ending of Gears of War 2, which also ended rather abruptly. This means a sequel is needed as I can't see it getting any DLC (there's no season pass for example), so if it is going to be a full blown sequel, I hope we don't have to wait too long!
Other than the "is that it?" ending, I totally enjoyed it all. It took me about 8 hours to finish I think. As I said, it's not all cut scenes and there's not a massive amount of QTE's either. A couple of fights and that's it really.
I'm going to replay it on easy in order to mop the last few trophies up, then I'll try it on hard. I'm sure I'll enjoy it again :-)
I also completed Ryse: Son of Rome after a week or so of playing on and off. That's quite a short game too! 8 or 9 chapters, all at about an hour long each. Gameplay is quite repetitive, with few combat moves and finishers, but again, I enjoyed the story greatly and it all looked gorgeous as well! I'm play through this again soon too to mop up some more achievements.

So f**k em' both!
The Stormcloaks are a bit like UKIP. I chose the Imperials.

BTW, quick tip if you ever get to Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: Don't be afraid of using the Hypermode as much as possible.
The game tells you something like "if you use it too much, Samus will become completely corrupted". I thought something like "hmm, so I should better not use it much, it's perhaps limited how often I can use it, and I definitely don't want to face the problem of becoming corrupted (whatever that means) if I ever need to use it". All this made me refrain from using it willingly for the whole game, except when the game forced me to, and I always tried to snap out of it ASAP. I never explored how it works and I didn't check any GameFAQs either, as I didn't want to spoil my first playthrough. Only at the very end of the game I found I was likely doing it all wrong, which left me somewhat disappointed. This also explains why the game felt fairly challenging even on the Normal mode (which equals Easy mode compared to the GC games).
IMO the whole Hypermode thing is greatly miscommunicated, and I know I was not alone who tried to avoid it completely. Retro really dropped the ball here and scared people too much (although they might have done it intentionally, as I have read later that they were not really fond of the Hypermode mechanics at all). The truth is that you are actually supposed to use Hypermode a lot, and mastering it is essential for the more difficult modes (I should have realised this seeing how hard the Normal mode felt at times, but at that time I didn't know it's actually the Easy mode and that there is an additional Hypermode/Hard difficulty to be unlocked). The fact is that you are not limited in how often you can use it (other than by the number of your energy tanks, which you can replenish), and you are not limited for how long you can use it (it will always automatically end after some time anyway). Neither of that leads to corruption, and has no cumulative negative effect. If you don't shoot while in Hypermode, it doesn't even cost you any energy, and still provides you with up to 10 seconds of invincibility and you can snap out of it anytime. You can only become corrupted (which equals to instant game over, so you'll definitely know it happened) later in the game, if you are damaged a lot while in the so called Corrupted Hypermode and you fail to vent the Phazon by shooting fast enough to prevent overload. So try to use all that to your advantage.
Hope this will help you get more out of the game on your first time through. :)

My boss spoke to my wife while I was in the shower and work tonight has been cancelled, that means another day off playing games for me :D

Just killed the Kayran, and made some armour out of bits of its corpse.
Didn't take too long to suss out how to destroy it, though it seemed to take forever to identify and fashion the parts from which the armour was made.

One time I had to go back to the bonfire in No Man's Wharf because she fell off the platform while boarding the bloody boat!
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Found out what it is. They're where a particularly high population of online players are congregating, but quite why your GoS wasn't orange is a bit odd as that's one of the major online hubs.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Must!....Not!.....Highlight!......Spoiler!.....Box!....
I've got a list of all the other easter eggs and things somewhere..I'll post that in a week or two so you can go hunting for them once you've got a bit further into the game! ;)
So f**k em' both!
It sounds like it'll be a relatively easy platinum too :D
was on humble bundle , so was pretty cheap I guess.. worth the time I spent playing it I guess :)

Really enjoyed Mafia 2! I downloaded the DLC missions the other week as they were on sale, so I'll need to go back to it again soon too!
I've been on a roll today
