sure some of you have seen these before. virtual floppy drive, that amiga owners seem to use a lot. has anyone fitted it to a +3 externally ? , as I was tempted to get one instead of a 3.5" for porting +3 disks back.
As far as I know, as supplied it only does Microsoft format floppy emulation. It also works on other systems that use the same format, or a format that is nearly identical to it. E.g. Atari ST's etc.
The Amiga community has written new "firmware" for it so that it can be reprogrammed to be compatable.
The +3 uses a different floppy format, so an off the shelf Gotek will not work for +3 disk images.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)
I didn't see the thread your spec-chum.. my grusso kung fu is weak :)
I thought it might work with the speccy due to there being cpc firmware for it Mark, as they share the same 3" drives.. just thought it was a far cheaper option than a hxc.. sure it's only 100 images.. but still.
