For a second my brain interpreted that as Respectable, by Mel and Kim...oops :D

  • I just heard an acoustic version of Skyscraper by Bad Religion...

I can't say what's going through my head without swearing enough to get myself banned, or at least a warning.

So all I'm going to say is how pretentious, how hipsterish, and thank you Brett Gueritz you're about as punk as a dogsh*t I stood in on my way back from buying some beer, infact no, said turd is more punk than you, your band, or your money grabbing sellout crappo wank record label EPITAPH ever was or will be.

    Ner ner so there!!!

  • Nah, Oi! is an occasional thing for me, for all I like it, it does all sound very much the same, so I tend to do it small doses. Plus I can never tell if they're racists or not, most of those bands tread a very fine line between what is acceptable if you ask me.

He got more which is why he's not here today...

I know but I meant I think he needed just a little more for that performance, Kurt got it right for the MTV Nirvana unplugged.

  • If you were a junkie you never tended to last long after the Unplugged appearance.

There were some cracking sessions on there though. As well as AIC and Nirvana, STP, Neil Young, Dylan. I even enjoyed the Clapton one.

  • think nirvanas is the only mtv unplugged Ive ever heard. love the cover versions they did on that, Ive said this before but every cover version nirvana ever did was better than the original (imo)
  • Alice In Chains was my favourite unplugged I think. Either that or Pearl Jam...
  • Best Unplugged ever was (IMO) Aerosmith, it was one of the first ones done when nobody really knew much about them.

  • Kiss unplugged was another good one...

Kiss should always be unplugged, and then told to go home ;)

  • Have you seen Gene Simmon's wig? It makes him look ridiculous.

  • Of course the band which started the Unplugged format was Tesla with their Five Man Acoustical Jam album and live set.

  • Heard this on Channel X in GTA V, Mel might like this as it's a punk song:

  • Spent the day installing and playing around with Windows 10 so I've been listening to some vinyl for a change:

White Zombie - Astro Creep: 2000
    Slayer - Reign In Blood
How To Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion

I was going to put on some Sisters of Mercy but I can't find the albums :(
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Excellent album, I added all the remixes to the CD and it became a real blast-o-rama!

Yeah Channel X on GTAV is all punk and hardcore, and Keith Morris is actually the DJ, he gets a lot of self-indulgence and sly digs out in his talking bits on the radio station. Funny thing the first day I played GTA IV back when it was first released in the first car that I got in on the first mission I ever played Channel X came on. The first tune I ever played that game to was My War by Black Flag.

That was where I was almost instantly sold on the game, first mission rallying a stolen sports car over canals and bridges with Black Flag playing.....Awesome!!!!

    Latest charity shop haul:

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory (1991)
    The Auteurs - Now I'm A Cowboy (1994)
    Doves - Some Cities (2005)
Embrace - The Good Will Out (1998) - not normally a fan of this style of stadium indie (see also Coldplay, Travis etc) but I liked a couple of the singles at the time.
