My Christmas evening we sat playing cards, with the patio doors open because it was so hot. It's not supposed to he hot on Christmas day night in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina.FFS!! It's that El Niño effect I believe what causing all our weird weather.
I finally opened up my Loot Crate yesterday, man it was sh*t :))
My nephews and nieces picked me out a handheld Sega Genesis/Megadrive, it's one of those cheapy redone things, and it has pretty crap sound on it, but the screen is really good on it, and the controls don't feel that bad, and it has an SD slot so I can play the games I want to play on it instead of the 40 Sega games that come with these machines, and the 40 crappo homebrew games that seem to get shoved on them as well. It would've been awesome if it was an actual Sega Nomad, but I'm not sure their piggy banks would allow that? ;)
I also managed to accumulate $80 worth of Gamestop gift cards, only problem there is there's absolutely nothing I want right now :))
Got some soaps and stuff like that, and a couple of T-Shirts, the secret Santa prezzie I ended up with was cack, so I gave it to the wife (Some poncey tea).
...and some new speakers for my PC which are nice, they sound really good :)
Gamestop I think just sell giftcards for themselves, possibly for things like PSN, XBOX Live, WIIware, Appstore, and STEAM.
Any other shop like a supermarket probably sells Ebay or Amazon Giftcards, but yeah I don't really see Gamestop selling them, as Ebay and Amazon undercut them ruthlessly, and outdo them on selection tenfold.....Now that I think about it I may ask my wife to drop subtle hints to her family members for next year.........Get Boozy Amazon cards instead of Gamestop :))
