  • Being a Dad has great bonuses, I get to buy my Son the toys I would have or did love as a kid. Marble Run, like Lego such a creative and rewarding toy. Finally my son's in bed and I get some time alone with it. Here is what I built:

I got the entire series of breaking bad which I will now have to watch out of courtesy to the person that got me it. have managed to completely avoid it till now. been told it's amazing but I can't stand modern trendy us tv series. Wire, sopranos, game of thrones, lost, 24, mad men, etc.. All crap IMO.

  • As a Dad I've just discovered the downside of having a house full of girls.
My eldest if thirteen, so no toys there, however I may try the Adventure Time game she got.
My 8 year old only got a Sylvanian set with regards to toys, all the other things she asked for was clothes etc. I'm at a loss, surely an eight year old should have more toys than that... NO LEGO for the first time......
    Sod it!

But how do you know they're crap if you haven't watched them? It's sounding like trying to get my 9 year old to try so type of food, "Try <this type of food>", "No!", "Why not?", "Don't like it!", "Have you ever tasted it?", "No!", "Then how do you know you don't like it?"...no reply.
I didn't watch Breaking Bad until recently, well after it was finished. It didn't seem to interest me but so glad I did eventually watch it and for me it remains some of the best television I've ever seen. Of course, I know people that haven' got into it, but the thing is they at least gave it a shot.

You could also miss out on the Marvel/Netflix Daredevil and Jessica Jones just because you're dismissing US series!

  • yeah but I was only talking about the ones that I had watched! admittedly only seen one or 2 episodes of each, don't have the patience to keep going with things if I don't like them tho... that is why Im sceptical of liking any other series that seems to be on their wavelength from what I make out.

If I happen to think breaking bad is good then great because I have the box set now. I will give it a try, obviously :)
