  • That clearing the rock from the armoury had me for a while too, it's quite an obvious solution in the end lol.
Grasshopper mission was fun, I just charged in throwing grenades and firing like hell lol.
I still haven't done anything to any settlements, haven't planted anything or owt lol
Aha, Valentine is that detective innit, :) I keep mixing him up with that insurance salesman :/
    So far, so meh :)
  • I can tell you what to do if you like? You'll kick yourself when you realize what you're meant to do :))

It took me a minute to work it out, it's a typical case of overthinking it ;)

Please - it's annoying the hell out of me!
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Just go into the workshop mode go up to the rubble, and scrap it when you get up close.

Bet he is kicking himself very hard now lol
    So far, so meh :)
  • Getting all fishy smelling, cleaning out another place, :/
    So far, so meh :)
  • Has anyone attempted the "Hunter/Hunted: Travel to C.I.T." mission? It's been sat on my list for weeks hehe
I'm sick of farms etc, Cleansing the Commonwealth and Recovering stuff is starting to bore me....
    So far, so meh :)
  • Nope I'm literally just toying with the idea of finally going to see Nick Valentine, there's a couple of things I'd like to try, but I have strange suspicions I have to go visit him before I can unlock the dialogues with certain characters, for one I need to speak to Dr. Amari, but she keeps telling me not to kick the Memory Pods. I need a conversation with her, because I feel like she's going to be the one to help me, or one of my friends out with something.

There's a quest in the main mission in there - i haven't done it yet though.
Thanks for the tip for the Castle, it was obvious! But i don't know if i'll play it today as i'm really suffering after a late night drinking session with friends :-&

  • Managed to play a bit of Professional Settler Simulator last night :))
Completed a mission where I had to go to the Parsons Asylum, it was a side mission, the place was full of raiders which was a pain but managed to clear them out, I delayed going there for a while as I thought it would be creepy but it wasn't really.
I'm now in love with Piper and got a gift of the gab perk with her, I also have something called 'lovers embrace' which increases your strength for a while (I think).
I'm now halfway through another Brotherhood of Steel mission which involved me going to Boston Airport which is where their base is. Once I do the mission I might try and explore the surrounding area.

Yeah you got that Lovers Embrace perk on Skyrim.

It replaced Well rested if you were married and slept at home.

I finally got as far as the 4th story mission I think yesterday, Nick Valentine really threw me off...

(Big spoiler for those who haven't met him yet...I really wouldn't read even if you're tempted to)
    Spoiler:

Probably gonna switch this on in a bit, my settlements seem to have been quite peaceful for the last few days, but maybe that's cos' I've had my list stuffed with missions and misc objectives instead. Even the attacks on settlements that happen are being weird? Santuary got attacked yesterday, or the day before by Ghouls, but I wandered around for about 5 minutes after I got there before any even showed up? :))

  • I've been distracted playing with Space Engine... Blame Dunny for introducing it to me lol,... It's bloody addictive :D

  • I'm beginning to wonder if I may have missed a few opportunities or bits n' pieces I had Story of the Century open with the objective to talk to Piper for ages, but I've done the Nick Valentine stuff and now that mission is top of my list and still tells me to talk to Piper? Maybe I should've talked to Piper earlier? Or maybe I'd have ended up in the same place? I just can't tell?

Plus I opened up a Brotherhood of Steel Mission, which tells me to go to Caimbridge Police Station, but I've had Sempa Invicta open for about 6 weeks, now I don't know if the 2 are going to interfere with each other? Or if I decided to do the Brotherhood missions if I'm going to miss a huge chunk of them?

At least so far unlike Fallout 3 missions you've already done whilst travelling don't seem to glitch out, if you've already got the items you would've had to have got if you'd just had to go and get them for the actual mission. I've had loads of items I needed for missions way before I did the missions and haven't actually had any problems yet.......Watch me have just jinxed it though :))

  • Because of what happened in a Brotherhood of Steel mission i've sent Piper back to Sanctuary and now got Paladan Danse as my companion (Piper will be back though).
We wandered around randomly for a while and i came across the Ginwett Restaurant or whatever it was called and yep, it was filled with Super Mutants, i half explored it but left and went back to Sanctuary, perhaps i've getting burned out, i dunno?
Now up to level 41. i've still got some half finished missions, i still haven't finished Old Guns yet as i need some more screws, someone in the Brotherhood wants me to look for tech as well but that's not really important as i still have loads of discovered locations that i haven't actually explored AND Warwick are asking for help with a ghoul problem but they are MILES from anywhere so they'll have to wait, perhaps forever :))

It's weird in the last few days I've gone from story missions complete 1 to Story missions complete 7 :O

I think the ending is going to go like this...Stupid dialogue choice no* 1,000,000....

    Brotherhood of Steel?
    Railroad
    Institute!
    Minutemen

Then whichever one you choose all hell will break loose with the other 3 :))

  • Still not finished Old Guns as I need some screws so will search them out later, I've tagged them for searching anyway.
Might continue the main story for a while? The next part involves me meeting Valentine at the Memory Den, and I think I know why.........................

I just did all that stuff yesterday, it gets a bit trippy in places, was a pretty cool mission, or set of missions/objectives though...

  • Even though I still haven't played this game, I enjoy reading your ramblings but especially from boozey I get the impression this game is quite a chore? Seems like you constantly have to do something for a lot of people plus all the kidnappings etc.

What happens if you simply ignore these alerts, bad consequences?
  • That's what i was wondering.
Completed the Old Guns quest, i've still got Paladin Danse as my companion, also had raider problems at Taffington Boathouse which i sorted out, they were hiding out at the BAFTL building.
For the first time ever, i have no kidnappings or ghoul issues in my quest line but i still need to visit Warwick Homstead which i think is having problems with Super Mutants but as previously mentioned they are miles from anywhere i've been yet, think the closes is Hyde Park or University Point. I'm still at Level 41.

Yeah I think I've had Warwick Homestead open since about the end of November :))

Also got Murkwater Construction Site, and Somerville Place open they're down on that part of the map. Figured I'd liberate them or whatever when something else in the game finally sends me all the way down there...

Anyway today I decided to investigate the Pickman Gallery, I've had his calling card in my misc items crap for a long time, and the location open for a while as well. But I only got the misc objective investigate Pickman Gallery about a week or so ago. So in typical Fallout/Bethesda Stylee I got completely sidetracked. The closest location to the Gallery that I had open on my map was Bunker Hill, so I fast travelled there. Curie got all soggy knickered about the place cos' she's apparently "Always wanted to visit", so I figured sod it maybe I'll have a look around. I pretty much knew this was a bad idea, because I also pretty much knew the second I start talking to people the missions, and miscs are going to come flooding in again....Well I never got to talk to "people", as an old Ghoul walks up and gives me a mission, saying something about me shooting up Parsons Insane Asylum. Well I did, but the buggers started shooting at me first. The mission sounds interesting, and after talking to the absolute nutcase who wants me to do it, it seemed like an interesting place to start the days gaming session.

The mission also seems like it won't lead onto too much else afterwards? But who knows?

I guess the Pickman Gallery can wait til' later...

Oh and when I started I took the plunge and used 2 more of my perk points, put 1 into Rifleman, and 1 into Commando. Wasn't really sure if I really wanted to, because my Legendary modded weapons are pretty overpowered anyway. Even just the 20% extra on both those perks has boosted my weapons crazy style. I mostly use rifles anyway, but some of them are modded to be automatic (even though they don't have rapid fire, which annoys me), so I figured I'd put a perk into both so all my fave weapons apart from my pistols got a boost.

Was toying with the idea of putting 1 point into Heavy Gunner as well, but decided nah, at least not for now anyway, as I rarely carry heavy weapons, as the weight of them pisses me off. I'm still a bit of a magpie when it comes to junk, and loot, the more I can carry the better :))

EDIT: Now I'm annoyed, there's been a bug, and now I'm stuck with molerat disease, I did Vault 81 f**king weeks ago, and didn't contract the disease. I got addicted to alchohol the other day, and I got attacked by a regular molerat a day or so back, but the effect has literally only just popped up today alongside my addictions. This is annoying me a lot, as there's absolutely no way to get rid of it...At least not now for me so I'm stuck with it basically...

  • I finally managed to get to Warwick but ran into a gang of legendary Gunners along the way, man they were tough to beat! Me and Danse spent ages trying to kill them all, eventually i gave up and headed to Warwick on my own, only to run into a few ghouls but got rid of them, funny this is while walking to Warwick Danse came running across the water! :))
Found out i had to dispatch some Super Mutants who were near a car factory, that was easy and i got loads of ammo but haven't actually been in the factory itself yet. i suspect they'll be more Mutants inside.
I've decided to leave Danse at Sanctuary and will take Piper with me for a while. Codsworth is also still hanging around there :))
Today i think i'll not do any missions but just try and explore some locations that are on my map but not actually been explored yet.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • The game keeps making me change partners for just about every mission now, I'm starting to lose track of them?

Strong is at Tenpines Bluff, Dogmeat, Valentine, and I think Curie are at Red Rocket? I've got Hancock with me right now, and MacCready just tried to get me to hire him....I was trying to max out my affinity with Curie before I took others with me....Oh well!

I blame Nick Valentine it's all his fault the boob!

  • As i said i explored some locations i haven't properly been to, i found an island called Spectacle Island but all that was there was some mirelurks.
I also wandered around buildings near Croupe Manor, that was also crawling with Killerclaw Mirelurks.
Also completed the Memory Den mission which was weird, i'm not happy about what i've to do next!
Just about to start a new mission for the scientist at the Brotherhood, something about protecting a scribe that's going to take data from something. I've put it off now as i have stuff to do.
Got Piper with me again :))
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Done a few Brotherhood missions, also been protecting some more settlements and also met a new potential companion at the Combat Zone.
Apart from that just wandered around killing various nasties, now up to Level 43.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Started doing some building of a collector or summat, needs loads of power and is a pain trying to connect the fecker up, :/
I'll have another crack at it later, :)
    So far, so meh :)
  • I've just been messing around on this the last few days.

I got too drunk on Wednesday to play it properly after a while, and I had another day off work yesterday. But had to go out for a birthday do, so ended up spending most of the day away from the PS4.

I've been playing a lot of Speccy games over the last couple of days instead, basically cos' I do have time to play those :))

  • Well, I'm in the Institute, done a couple of missions, now off to give a few Coursers a kick in the goolies, :D

...Although probably not really, Daren is probably on his 13th playthrough by now ;)

  • lol, yeah, he probably is.. I stil have loads of stuff to do, just clearing out a few settlement quests (bloody rescues and clearing of mutants etc...)
I got bored of the missions from those guys in armour, it's just a go clear this, go clear that, collect summat for the scribe etc...
    So far, so meh :)
  • Also, all this travelling is sending me nuts, the loading times are crap, :/
    So far, so meh :)
  • I haven't even joined the Brotherhood, and now I have a mission open that assumes I have? I wonder if I go back to the police station if I'll get 2 at once or the game will go mental?

I've had Sempa Invicta open for months, but never returned to Caimbridge, and now the one I have open says report to Paladin Danse. Oh well...

I'm busy doing the rather strange set of missions for the rather strange Cabot family now, and I have no idea if they actually started with a hidden mission? The circumstances of me actually starting them was strange, and a bit random. But they're very interesting to say the least.
