Cheers Maroc. :) I really like King Animal. In fact, I would go so far as to say I much prefer it to Down On The Upside. I've always found myself getting a little tired of DOTU towards the end of it, whereas KA manages to do a much better job of holding my interest throughout.

badmotorfinger is easily my fav soundgarden album, only seem to like 3 or 4 tracks off each other album they've done. not heard King Animal either though might have to give it a go

Someone on here mentioned her recently, so when I saw a copy of this in a resale store I thought hmm Toy Soldiers I remember that being quite good. Now I've had a listen I can honestly say it's all down hill from Toy Soldiers. It's well produced 80s pop for 13 year old girls.. However, its not so bad that I must take it straight of the turntable. It's primarily synth based which gives a mildly interesting late 80s sound. The only other marginally good track is the second track on side B called 'Water'. However, it's only good because the atmospheric synth intro, the rest of the song is like the rest of the album (not great).

You off to Rebellion this year? Cock Sparrer are playing as well as Jello Biaffra, Descendents, Extreme Noise Terror, The Dwarves and various other old noise makers.

I've only really given Badmotorfinger, Superunknown and Down on the Upside a proper listen.
DotU doesn't have the raw energy of Badmotorfinger or the eclectic brilliance of Superunknown, but it's still got some good tracks. It's mainly the singles I remember though which isn't really the sign of a great album! Burden in My Hand is good.
She Likes Surprises off Superunknown is probably one of my favourite Soundgarden songs. Can't believe that wasn't on the US release.

Live's Throwing Copper is a brilliant album. Lightning Crashes, Damn at Otter Creek and White Discussion are awesome tracks. Big fan of STP too, Tiny Music... is a really underrated album.
Don't forget your hole ridden T-Shirt of some weird band about 7 people have heard of.
Wishbone Ash, or My Friend the Chocolate Cake would be good candidates :))
I'm still the sad fecker who wears hole ridden t-shirts of weird bands. Fudge Tunnel, Growth, Alcohol Licks and my all time fave is Bérurier Noir. I was on a snowboarding stag-do in Andorra and, as always, I was wearing one of my Confict t-shirts. This bloke comes up to me in a bar, points at the circled A tattoo on his neck and then points at the circled A on my t-shirt. I buy him a drink and we talk about bands through very bad broken French and English. As me and my mates go to leave he lifts his top off and gives it to me!! And this is is where I got my Bérurier Noir top from :D
Is it sad that I know who Bérurier Noir are, and I actually have Macadam Massacre, and Concerto pour Détraqués by them on my infamous Old PC? :))
Oh and that is actually a really cool story, that's like one of those surprising moments in life that makes you think the world isn't so sh*t afterall, it actually brightened my day a little bit :)

I loved AiC while Layne was still about, but I've not really been "grabbed" by anything of theirs since the self-titled album. I definitely liked them more than Nirvana too though.

Only 7 months late (or 45 years) but I picked up a Simon and Garfunkel compilation yesterday for a quid :)
Also 50p for Genesis's greatest hits and a couple of compilations. including this one which I taped from the library back in about 1992:
