Great Giana Sisters Mystery

I know the game was never released.... or was it?

Just randomly came across this page..

Of course I cannot find the listing anywhere on ebay since it was last year.

Any thoughts.

I'm sure that those screen shots appeared on this very forum a while back. First time I've seen that picture of the case though.

The auction mentions that the item was located in Birmingham, which is where US Gold were based of course.

yeah this is the thread: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/50085/great-giana-sisters-found/p1

most people saying fake screenshot/photoshop there?

interesting quote by user 'tolls' who says he worked with a guy who worked on Giana Sisters, and who said this:
Unfortunately, Speccy one was never even mastered, Nintendo had it cancelled
    two days before duplication.

  • Looking at the other pictures on that site. How did he load it?
  • It is currently on Apple for tvOS and iOS. Plays very well especially with controller

Yeah, very nice but it's not the Spectrum version.
  • considering they got the injunctions soon after the "go" release for c64/amiga , I doubt it would have been ported. or if started, not finished THAT quickly.

posting video etc of it , and not still pics showing it booting / running will make me think differently.. otherwise it's still vapour ware to me.
  • Sorry didn't mean it was just that a version was on App Store. Was quite surprised to see it pop up last week given all the issues around the title originally. Some other retro stuff showing up - sonic is great, duck tales also great.
  • @Impomatic is responsible for those photos...
