  • Piper's getting as annoying as Cait now, I've got too much going on right now to bother with fanny. I'm sorely tempted to go and get Dogmeat, Strong, or Valentine back, they don't constantly bug me about wanting to suck my knob :))

I'd love a girl to keep bugging me to suck my knob (in real life obviously!)
    :))

I'm playing triple agent now, I got 2 missions from Elder Dickhead, I'm probably not going to do the next Railroad mission for a while as I feel like it may tip the scales a little too far, and the Institute seems to be opening up a few missions as well.

Funny I've pretty much been doing Railroad stuff, and ignoring Pisstain Garbage, and the Minutemen, and the Brotherhood.

Don't read this next bit if you've not done any brotherhood, or institute stuff..
    Spoiler:

Anyway the game is becoming slightly less boring again with all the new missions opening up. But as usual my settlements are pissing me off, and if I ever do another playthrough of this I certainly won't be devoting anywhere near as much time to them as my vanilla playthrough. Of course if I am ever going to start this game again from scratch I certainly won't be doing what I did with Skyrim, and starting another character almost right away. With the exception of a few older titles on emulators I've not played anything else for about 5 months now, my PS3 actually has a thick layer of dust on it now :O

  • I'm thinking of installing Skyrim so that I can spend some time with that before starting a new character on FO4. Gotta finish all the FO4 DLCs first, :)
    So far, so meh :)
  • Oh and I believe that Skyrim needs a good murderer, so I will accept that challenge and destroy EVERYTHING !!!!!!!!
    So far, so meh :)

Found this house with a woman in it. I chatted to her for a while then killed her because she looked at me, then i pumped Cait in front of the dead body :))

Ooooooo, I'm rubbing off on you, ;)

  • I'm moderately well behaved compared to you 2 deviants :))

  • Well sorry zx1 Piper has left you for me, a man who can make better pizza :p

But anyway I'm lurking round Bunker Hill, because I have a feeling that a few of the people there might have something for me. I'm pretty sure Deb (the weird chick who never says anything) actually wears a suit that says Railroad on it. I'm curious if she'll talk now?...and that old guy who's "Daughter" I rescued from Covenant, I know he's Railroad.

Noticed my next Institute mission is called the Battle of Bunker Hill, and I feel like doing that mission will either turn the Railroad or the Institute against me? If there's Synths there no doubt the Railroad will want them freed, and the Institute will want them reclaimed? So I'm dodging that mission for now.

Although the Institute has managed to sway me slightly, after doing the Synth Retention mission, it has kind of dehumanized Gen 3 Synths to me a little.....Oh I hate you Bethesda how you always get into your players heads, I mean that's the sign of a good game but still, moral choices are hard to make in real life, I'm not sure I like it when a game makes you feel bad for killing/betraying/severely maiming somebody :))

It's as bad as when I started my second character in Skyrim with the full intention of joining either the Empire, or the Stormcloaks, and in the end still said "Sod it they're both dicks, and joined neither" :))

They ever do online play......I will flatten you :p

I have too many unfair weapons, I won't even have to put effort in :))

But they won't because the skilless players will have to play without VATS, and that means another watered down FPS anyway.....Nope it'd be gash...

  • I would just run away, or use a mini nuke :))
But online would be useless with all the trolls and people who would mess up missions deliberately.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Mini Nukes probably won't work too well, some idiot Raider point blanked me with one the other day, and blew himself up with it in the process, took about 15% of my health off. Was pretty funny, but at least that Raider died a Martyr :))

But yeah I think if there was an online mode it'd end up being like GTA V was, you'd probably have to start a fresh character (As using your killing machine from the single player would be ridiculous), the weapons would be nerfed to death, to stop people basically being able to massacre people with ease, which means the hackers would instantly be accessing them, and doing that anyway. I'm sure they'd be generating themselves infinite caps as well, and probably neverending Stealthboys.

The only thing I think that might make an online mode interesting is if it let you play as a Super Mutant, or a Synth, or maybe even a Zetan, that'd be cool. Although I think if you played as a race other than human you probably can't use Power Armour, and mine's practically welded to me these days.

  • I think I'm way behind you lot, haven't got as far as needing to choose a faction yet. Have been distracted with getting a load more settlements up and running and have started regretting it already... :(
  • Is there any point collecting mentats? And what's the brain fungus for?
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • I have literally thousands of Mentats, and I've not used em' once :))

I think the Brain Fungus goes in food at the cooking stations, same with the rather pointless Glowing Fungus...
    Every night is curry night!
  • Not sure if the game is finished? I've destroyed one of the factions and no more quests have appeared? i went to the HQ for more orders and nothing happened? Not sure if the game is broken or if i've completed it, there was no end credits or anything @-)

  • The second DLC, Wasteland Workshop, is released at midnight on PC, consoles next week.

  • Midnight which day?

...and next week as I after Sunday this week? I bloody hope not, I'm not gonna be anywhere near my playstation...
    Every night is curry night!
  • Sweet that gives me another absolutely perfect excuse to not finish the main story again :))

Plus there looked like there's gonna be some nice bits n' pieces to build with, if there's a load of cool stuff I can start tearing down some of my crappier builds at my settlements, and start making them nicer.

Plus some of those Deathtraps look especially brutal, could be fun :))
    Every night is curry night!
  • I want the Deathclaw as my new lookout! :))
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • You can put a beacon in your settlements that I guess keeps your captives passive, switch it off and I assume they go mental? :))

Just rewiring Sanctuary, you can get Fusion Generators now that produce 100 power, goodbye large generators, hello pylons, and 1 Generator per settlement. Providing I have enough room I may even put up some streetlamps up and down the road. Problem is just about every time I build something at Sanctuary now I have to wander round and look for something I don't want. I did scrap a lot of pointless stuff the other week though, so I've probably got enough space to build loads of poncey stuff, or maybe 1 more house.

There's no story based missions or anything with this one, but I can see it being quite fun, you can make custom Neon Signs and the like. I already wasted a good hour already doing pretty much nothing :))

I've not captured anything yet, but I might later on today to see if I can build an Arena, I'll probably put one in an area I've not bothered with. I don't really want one at Sanctuary, but I may just be tempted to put Pisstain Garbage in the arena with a Deathclaw :))
    Every night is curry night!
  • I built a mirelurk capture cage, and powered it up. After a couple of sleeps one took the bait and I had me a captured mirelurk.

Christ though, it's going to take me ages before I can get a beta wave emitter to tame captured animals. You need the Wasteland Whisperer perk, which requires a Charisma of 9 (mine's 3), and also the Animal Friend perk. So that's another 8 levels I'll have to go through before I can get it.

It's fun though releasing captured animals in the middle of your settlements! I'll build an arena next I think.

  • I've got max Charisma, and I basically did that in the end so I'd never fail speech checks. Wish I'd originally built my character with high charisma and low intelligence. But I maxed out my Agility last week after saving loads of perk points, and I still have a few left, literally just since I could put aome into the Gun-Fu Perk, I've had my eye on that perk since day one.

The sad thing is now I have the Gun-Fu perk I'll probably never use it, as I've had a Never Ending Double Barrel Shotgun for ages I mean literally since about the 3rd week I was playing, and only started using it a week or 2 ago (stupid here carried a Ghoul Slayers Shotgun long after it was even needed, Ghouls are like butter these days, and I'm a boiling hot saucepan). That coupled with a violent Gauss Rifle, the Penetrating Fatman (Which is literally Finbar Saunder's dream gun :)) ), and Spray n' Pray (which is a Submachine Gun with exploding bullets), and I pretty much never need to use VATS anymore at all.

Infact I use the Never Ending Double Barrel Shotgun so much these days I renamed it to "DOOM II" :))

Shotgun Shells and Electromagnetic Cartridges are the only ammo I buy these days, apart from Fusion Cores, and I have well over 100 of them as well :))

I'd pay to see that prick being torn up alive, even then he'd probably still be trying to tell you about another settlement that was in trouble :))
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Holy carp, that second DLC reminds me of that house builder one in Skyrim... A proper time sucker... :))

Only really had chance to play it once this week. Got the game in November last year so it's been 5 months so far and I'm still not close to finishing it.. :-/

Have been travelling around with Piper doing a load of miscellaneous stuff. The settlements are becoming a pain, but the missions are letting me find new locations pretty easily. For entertainment I've given Piper a load of explosives to make tunnel/building interior missions more interesting/hazardous...
  • Actually playing Grognak the Barbarian, and have been since yesterday, it's actually quite fun, if not the most fun I've had so far with a holotape game.

I just hope it saves when you quit it, I feel like I've been playing for a very long time indeed, and I'd like to see what's going on in the "real" world :))
    Every night is curry night!
  • Grognak does save when you quit it which is good.

Anyway I've wasted the last hour or so trying to improve sanctuary, I had a generator down by the riverfront powering my defenses, so I replaced that with another fusion generator because I've got next to no space left to build any more stuff, and I don't think I have enough space left to put pylons all over the place.

The wasteland Workshop DLC has came in very useful though, it's made me think a little about what I'm building now. I've been scrapping quite a bit of unnecessary stuff, and replacing it with smaller things. I've not actually ran out of space yet, but I've had my bar full up on the workshop mode.

Over the last week or so I've been taking down my great wall of Sanctuary bit by bit, and improving it or replacing parts of it with smaller pieces. I've shaved off about 4 pieces of it from the end near the back end of the river as no enemies ever come round that way, and about 3 pieces off the end with the bridge, and an entire wire fence down near the water that was actually completely useless. but it was one of the first things I built and have pretty much overlooked it until now.

The angled concrete wall from the DLC is perfect, every time I run out of space I can take down 2 pieces of junk fence and replace it with one of those. Any pylons I've had near a wall I've scrapped and put conduits on the walls instead, and large pylons that could be replaced with the smaller ones have been. Problem here is now Sanctuary is an electrical death trap, if this was the real world people would be dying all over from the wires that are strewn about the place. Those fusion generators are great as well, the only negative I see to them is if an enemies takes one down the whole town goes dark, and all the defenses go down. I wouldn't completely wreck everything As I have one at the back of Sanctuary near my pre-war house, and one on the riverfront, so basically one for each side of town.

I built a prefab wooden house right at the start to put the Longs in, and I'm giving serious thought to scrapping it, but it's literally the first house I built, and even though it's an inconvenient eyesore, with loads of random cack I added to it, I'm a little attached to it, one it's gone it's gone as they say.

But right now I need a break from building, or Grognak, off to kill things I think \:D/

  • The last few days I've been messing around building stuff, and you know making my settlements nice and wotnot...

    [img]Fallout%204_20160415113115_zpsmgdpoipa.jpg

It's all good at Sanctuary Hills, I'm really taking this reviving the Commonwealth business seriously, things are on the up, it's all good...

    [img]Fallout%204_20160415112934_zpsv1oivtgf.jpg

Then things went a bit silly, and seriousness went straight out the window...

you see my good buddy Paladin Danse said he wanted to checkout this new bar that had opened in Sunshine Tidings Co-Op, figured nothing could go wrong, a Brotherhood Paladin isn't going to be into anything sketchy.

I remember nothing after this picture was taken......
    Every night is curry night!
  • Danse went in to search out some brother lovin! :))
