@luny any more plug we can get stuck to? Do you have any book published? As far as I know there are at least three cartoonists on wos, kevin macgoaty, dave hughes and luny. I'd pay to see a speccy comic strip :)]
No nothing published. I've upload some stuff to my web...
Been reading 2000AD since it started and occasionally reread Starlord (which merged with 2000AD) as there was some cracking stories that, as far as I know, haven't been reprinted in graphic novel form since.
Ro-Busters which like Strontium Dog started off in Starlord. A brilliant satire on Thunderbids. Whereas International Rescue would swing into action the moment anyone got the radio and said 'Calling International Rescue', Ro-Busters wouldn't lift a finger until they had got the American Express Card number!
Not really but I'd like to get hold of the entire Akira story, I've seen graphic novels. But I'd rather have the 40 odd mini comics that built the story up. No chance of getting those now though.
I collected the entre series through "Manga Mania", took about 3 years as the issues went into the 30's. Still got them.
EDIT: Oh if I ever do buy the Akira comic set, I also intend to get Domu, Katsuhiro Otomos first graphic novel.
Started reading it about 14 years ago (maybe longer), and never finished it, never really started it actually.
Domu was the first manga I ever bought, had the collected paperbacks for years.

Aaaay, nice to be recognised :D (It's McGrorty, incidentally). Yeah, I've been drawing and writing www.keezees.com for the last 10 years, I'm planning on having a Speccy appear as a plot device at some point in the future.

Nice to meet a fellow Kev who has talent. Great site, the kids love the elephant in the hamster ball.

Cheers! The site is nice and simple to match the artwork of the comic, but it's due for an overhaul, trying to plan stuff for when I hit episode 500 as I don't want potential readers put off by "archive panic." Only thing I can think of is to start a "Volume 2" at episode 501...
Cheers, The lone magpie and Luny. It'd be cool any strip based on game characters, but also about gamers in midlife crisis, stories based on silly wosser's posts, collectionist geeks, z80 mad coders, a fictional homebrew dev studio from back in the day, etc :)

Stories about retired game characters (like Miner Willy or Sabreman) in midlife crisis would be even better :)
Very good, I like the idea of Horace having a midlife crisis and buying a Harley Davidson!
"Horace Gets An Earring" :P
I read 2000AD from 1986 through till about 2001. I used to order it from our local newsagents, but then I moved out and was living in a town, so I figured I could just pick it up. Kept forgetting to buy it and in the end just let it go.
Zenith was basically two series, but they had a one-off "where are they now" sort of story with him in his 30s, which was OK, but didn't really add much to the universe.
Rogue Trooper ran out of ideas, so they rebooted it, but the reboot wasn't that great either. They did do a sort of tie-up of the loose ends using that Tor Cyan guy from 'Mercy Heights' who explained what happened to the original Rogue Trooper (sort of).
Dredd's always been pretty cool. The Megazine stories like 'America' were always better than the 2000AD ones as they were written for a more mature audience.
I also liked that 'Preacher' story that was its own comic, but got re-released in the Megazine. I've seen a few of the American comics kicking around, but I only saw a bit of a crossection of the story that got reprinted. I'd like to read the whole thing.

Some copied, some original...
A speccy cartoon sounds like fun. Using game characters I assume?

Besides them, I strongly recommend everything by Frank Miller, particularly The Dark Knight Returns, Ronin, Sin City, 300, and Elektra: Assassin.
Regarding comics series, my favorite is Powers.
