If the official NASA photos are to be believed, there is a living Lemming on Mars, which appears on one photo, and not on another taken of the same area at a different time. A sea creature fossils on rocks. And a man's shadow leaning over the rover to clean its panels when it got too dirty. There are a couple of photo's of men on Mars cleaning the Mars rover panels now.
And the reason the man's shadow is bigger than a regular person is... it's not a man, it's a Bigfoot!

Like most people here, I really really really want the Mars exploration missions to be real & genuine, so this "hypothesis" (And it IS only a hypothesis at this stage, not an actual allegation yet), deeply disturbs me... It also deeply disturbs me that while the hypothesis being put forward is quite detailed, much of the responses here in this forum have amounted to little more than ridicule and insults rather than serious counter arguments... Unfortunately, and admittedly, there may be few people here (I count myself also, of course) well qualified to really provide counter arguments that can sufficiently put this to rest... It doesn't satisfy me that this issue here seems to rest solely on the matter of faith as to whether one should "believe" NASA or not... In my mind these are seriously dangerous ideas... The plausibility of the hypothesis disturbs me the most... Personally speaking, despite the unpleasantness of this hypothesis, I would like to see people take up Rich's challenge, and go the extra mile to provide, if they can, concrete evidence that nails this hypothesis one way or the other, permanently... Like Dunny said, if this is JUST a theory, then it will ultimately pose no threat to the truth... but if this hypothesis does hold water, then I for one would appreciate evidence gathering to bring us closer to the truth... Really? The question should be "Why would NASA make it up if it didn't happen? What reason would they have for making it up? The problem we have here is that you get comments saying, for example, the moon landing was faked and it's obvious from the photos because of this and that. You then get experts who debunk all these claims and the result? They're either in on the conspiracy or they're ignored. This isn't new. You could argue could be the same from a conspiracist's side, but the evidence from that side is so hokey and is pretty much disproved through science and physics.
The whole lemming/rock issue is just the same. The brain and mind is an amazing thing but fundamentally flawed. It sees shapes and patterns in everyhing to help us fill out the blanks/gaps that we can't quite comprehend. And it will fill it in with something we can.
Anyway, it'll always be a Reservoir Dogs style stand off, so there really isn't much point arguing or providing evidence. We've pretty much made our minds up anyway and it's unlikely that will change. In the meantime, I'll read in for my own entertainment.
