  • I know plenty of people that aren't racist and voted to leave. What surprises me is how many of these now regret their decision because it was based on lies. It didn't take much to spend a bit less time on FB and actually do some research.

Well th eu could have been a good thing but the germans and french suck as leaders and uk was only interested in money and following his big bro which caused the recession and chaos on irak and siria. I mean politicians, don't take offense.
Iraq and Syria aren't in the EU and the banking crisis was a global issue caused by sub-prime mortgages, predominantly starting in the US.

Quick Quiz Question: which leader of which party deregulated one countries bank and financial services sector so that they could "self regulate"?

Hmm, EU laws, how many am I aware of that have affected me in a negative way? Um, well, none.
Didn't they originate the ban on dichloromethane in paint stripper? That's a mildly annoying. I'm sure the new stuff isn't as good, just safer pffft! ;)

    Safety is overrated...
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

  • I voted to leave in order to restore & protect the UK's status as a self-governing nation. Once certain sections of the populace & media move beyond the Chicken Little "the sky is falling" phase, we might then start proceeding in a calm & orderly manner to deal with the matter. What I don't see is any suitably dynamic character to be put forward as Prime Minister. There doesn't seem to be another Churchill, Thatcher or Blair available to take on the responsibility. Theresa May? Sajid Javid? Or how about Priti Patel? A woman and a Hindu and a supporter of the Leave campaign. Might work.

There seems to have been some confusion between Five and Six in some of the foregoing posts. The Five (Presidents, which is at least three too many) are:

    European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker
President of the Euro Summit, Donald Tusk
President of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem
President of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi
President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz

who presided over the production of a recent report:

The Five Presidents' Report: Completing Europe's Economic and Monetary Union

    The press release is here:
    http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-15-5240_en.htm
    and the full report here:
    http://ec.europa.eu/priorities/publications/five-presidents-report-completing-europes-economic-and-monetary-union_en

Whereas the Six (Foreign Ministers, of the six founding members of the Common Market) are the guys who met in Berlin yesterday to discuss their response to the UK's withdrawal from the European Union, being:

    Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier
    France, Jean-Marc Ayrault
    Italy, Paolo Gentiloni
    Belgium, Didier Reynders
    Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn
    Netherlands, Bert Koenders

Priti Patel is an evil wee Hobbit with a permanent smirk. She can fcuk right off.

Theresa May or Sajid Javid would be better bets, but they were both on the 'Remain' side.

Gove has already ruled himself out some time ago. As Dirty Harry said 'a man has got to know his limitations', and it is good to see that little pissweasel knows his.

That pretty-much leaves Boris, or that Loathsome Leadsom woman.

Apparently 2 million people have signed an online petition to have another vote on the referendum, i guess this is because the vote didn't go their way.

It is at 3.2 million now.

i read it was started by a leave campaigner to sabotage any hope of a 2nd go, and was started before the vote was known.
its also being investigated for fraud

They'd be better in the EU free of pirates :ar!
We need UN fines for the next time USA comes to smuggle weapons on Syria, Lybia and nearby doors to EU. They can go attack the eskimo if they please.
What about the Eurovision song contest? Please don't invite USA as a third member.
eu! eu! oi! eu! Oi! Let's blow the EU out!

"The petition for a second EU referendum with 3 million signatures was started by a leave voter last month worried the remain camp would win.
William Oliver Healey, an English Democrat activist, claims it has been “hijacked” and has tried to distance himself from what has become the largest petition of its kind in history..."

  • lol, let him have his 5 minutes of glory before it all goes down the pan, hes in a dream world if he thinks its some magical working class victory for the working class. Its a victory for the far right its what theyve been banging on about for decades, theyve finally achieved it.
    Its skewed patriotism.
Far-right? Shows your far-left position if it is the "far-right" that champions democracy!
  • "As of Sunday afternoon, around 41,118 signatories have come from Vatican City, 11,717 from the United States, and curiously, 24,855 from North Korea.

At least 19,000 signatures have come from France, and 2,735 from British Antarctic Territory, which has a population of just 250 people."
  • Nothing like the far-left to scupper democracy:

  • The leave campaign have admitted today that there is NO Brexit plan:
Sky News political editor Faisal Islam has been left speechless after claiming a Conservative pro-Brexit MP told him the Leave campaign “didn’t have a plan” for Brexit and “number 10 should have had one”.

Islam appeared stunned, and presenter Anna Botting didn’t know what to say after Islam revealed Tory MP told him “there is no plan” after the UK voted to leave the European Union.

“I said to him, so where’s the plan? Can we see the Brexit plan now?” Islam told Botting, without naming the MP specifically.

He said the pro-Leave Tory replied: “There is no plan. The Leave campaign don’t have a post-Brexit plan.”

According to Islam, the MP then pointed toward the Houses of Parliament and said: “Number 10 should have had a plan”.

“It sounds like I’m making that up. That literally happened two hours ago,” Islam said, pausing in apparent disbelief.

  • “number 10 should have had one”
Spot-on, as the government in charge they should have had contingency plans drawn up. The 'Leave' campaign are not in positions of power to do such a thing, blame Cameron and Osbourne.
  • David Cameron did have a plan - he resigned :))

So, while campaigning for Britain to leave the EU they had absolutely no plan or idea how to actually do that?

To be fair it won't be the brexit campaigners who would facilitate the departure of UK from EU, BUT it certainly wouldn't have done their political ambitions any harm if they did have a plan.

oh it will be the brexit campaigners, i posted earlier, Camerons resigned, its probably going to be a leaver who takes over, IDS has said it should be, and it should, they should clear the mess up they made and they better put their thinking caps on.
You DONT jump into a black hole without a plan surely?
