Just wait and see what happens to the markets when Article 50 is invoked. Then after that when it becomes obvious that the UK will lose access to the single market over the free movement of people issue.

Yeah that's something that they will dig their heels in on and f**k everything else, but that assumes that we wish to join the single market / free trade area.
A negotiated Trade deal with the EU however does not require free movement of people, it will just mean applying tariffs to imports and exports just like we do with every other nation on earth. Whilst this increases beuarocracy when dealing with the EU it just means we move back to export/import situation before 92 ( i belive although it's been some years since i was in the export/import business ).
Also not being in the single market / free trade area means the government of the day is able to subsidise any industry they want, which can't be done within the EU ( although France and Germany seem to ignore these rules when it suits them )
Since when have a Conservative government been interested in subsidising any industry?
Also, loss of passporting for financial services is arguably a bigger problem than new tariffs on goods. Switzerland were not able to get a deal on passporting with the EU, that's why the Swiss banks had to set up in London.
Oh, I'm telling on you to Mr Putin. The official line is that this is a gloriously brave move signalling the start of the collapse of the corruption that is European unity, leaving everyone looking to Russia to exert its mighty benevolent dominance over the world instead. You need to check in with your local KGB HQ, sorry, I mean state-approved media subsidiary, for attitude reprogramming.
Depending on the trade deal done between the UK and the EU, even after we do finally leave, we may still have to comply with a lot of the EU rules. But we will no longer be able to have any say on the decision making process in making or amending any of the EU rules.
So, much less democratic than being in the EU.
Mark
You desire a vote in groups you're not a member off, in countries that are not yours, under the flag of democracy.
I believe that a new definition of 'democracy' is needed here, as mine seems worthless todays.

All we have regarding this 'Brexit inspired hate fest' is anecdotal evidence, I hope the plod come down extremely hard on any of these people found to be crying wolf.

From your text I understand that "You, the countries of the West" are ment here, and not the participants in the WOS forum. I therefore believe that I just have read a political statement which should not be here. Let us focus on personal expectations, worries etc.
You got it wrong. This is not a political statement it is a statement of facts.
So Boris creates Brexit to set himself up for PM and then pulls out of PM race!! You really couldn't make it up...
i posted a really large pasted comment from the guardian a few days ago, in which it says Cameron played the leave campaigners as he knew resiging would now leave them with a lose lose situation.
I dont think any of them actually thought Cameron would resign and theyd have to take on the poisoned chalice. Obviously Boris never actually wanted to be pm

Apparently he was advised that he wouldn't win so decided to gracefully withdraw, perhaps he should have done that when he was banging his secretary and then he wouldn't have a illegitimate child...

I don't think he wants the job so soon, none of them do. as it's not exactly the best time to get the country. it seems the last person always chucks a spanner in the works before they leave. He is playing the long game.

All markets are down, a mere reflection that people are investing in gold rather than currencies, look up the gold value on the same scale as you posted.

The price of gold nearly always rises when investors run for cover (to safe havens like gold) when the stock markets and currency markets become unstable or drop rapidly. So the fact that gold has gone up is normally not a good sign. And investors and traders buying gold is a symptom, not the cause of falling stock markets and currency markets.

You got it wrong. This is not a political statement it is a statement of facts.
It's presenting the obvious plus ventilating a hidden opinion. That method and its results are described as demagogic instrument by someone who committed suicide in 1945 together with his wife, after poisoning their six children with cyanide.
I am shure you also will have a personal opinion, feeling or vision like most of us. Please feel invited....

I understand that the truth is not always pleasant, but the sooner you accept these facts, the less you will have to surprise the "sudden" appearance of its own nationalists and neo-Nazis.
Your nationalists and neo-Nazis not came from Mars. It is a product of your system. The West sponsored nationalists and neo-Nazis against USSR/Russia, and now they became members of the EU. Now they impose their will on You .

Russian stocking up on popcorn :)
If it were that simple the massive Neo-Nazi movement in Russia wouldn't exist. And yet it does.
I find the rantings of an ultra-nationalist against neo-nazis quite hilarious.
Not as hilarious as the left leaning remain campaigners who want to subject themselves to a globalist capitalistic organisation determined to implement TTIP.
Oblivious to the fact a large section of the people heading here from the EU hold the very same far right sentiments that they are currently moaning about.
I visited a number of the (remains of) the so called Emslandlager this year. When you learn that russian POWs ate grass for staying alive and had to do even that secretly, you will understand certain strong resentments. In fact I needed a full day for returning to normal....
Here such resentment is misused for other (unknown) purposes, exactly like some in UK use brexit as a vehicle for anti-social and/or racist behaviour.
Juncker's behaviour towards Farage in the EP assembly did open some doors. That is disturbing me.

I wasn't actually talking about you but you do seem to have a somewhat polarised view of your fellow man. Anyone that desperate to paint those who disagree as the loony-left can't help but present themselves as the fascist-right.
Being opposed to the uncontrolled growth of the EU is not exactly a 'far-right' position. It's increasingly common across Europe, as individual governments' obsession with austerity, coupled the European Council's obsession with expanding and extending freedom of movement to Europe's poorest neighbouring states is just widening the divide between rich and poor for the citizens of the original EU countries.
One doesn't have to be a card-carrying frothing-at-the-mouth skinheaded nun-molester to see the folly in that. However, assuming the only way to resolve the issue is to run away and hide behind the barricades (rather than solving the problem through negotiation) does take a certain degree of mistrust and anti-social sentiment that isn't going to help either.
Pulling out of the EU is cutting off the very solidarity with the rest of Europe's citizens that could actually do anything about how the European Council is behaving.
