Captain Slog and Arkanoid?
Hi all Speccy chums, seeing as this is my first post on WOS forums I'd just like to say it's my favourite hangout. The ZX Spectrum 48+ was one of the first computers I had as a child of the 80's and have it emulated on both my laptop and desktop. The purpose of this post is that I am currently trying to find the true release of Captain Slog (Alpha Omega Software)
The one available on WOS seems very different to the one I had as a kid, that being the one I had did in fact have a loading screen. Back in the day I had a collection called Games 1-10, which had a number of games on each 80/90min cassettes. I am trying to recreate it to CD but no longer have the original cassettes I once had. If anyone out there has it, please let me know. Also I am after the Arkanoid version which is a Speedlock 2 that once loaded it says Kempston Y or N. Please not this is my first post and wasn't sure which section to post it on. GM777

In my experience this will work well even with non-standard loading schemes, except for Speedlock tapes, which the Spectrum unfortunately seems to be very "picky" with when loading them off a CD as audio tracks.
The Arkanoid version you mention is the Hit Squad re-release (Speedlock 7).
I have The Hit Squad Re-Release of Arkanoid that I downloaded from WOS which as you said is a Speedlock 7, but the one I had was Speedlock 2 (blue n black bars) that said Kempston Y or N once loaded, but none of the Speedlock 2 versions of this on either WOS or TZXVault say it apart from the Erbe Software S.A. Re-Release (which isn't a Speedlock 2)
Anyhow, thanks for trying to help me out, if only I could get a hold of the original cassette of both games.
Would like to say WOS is my favourite web site!

Enjoy!
I recently purchased Wriggler and noticed it was different to the one available on WOS, plus I even found a unspecified custom loader of it too.

Can't wait for Martin to add this gem to his amazing site as I hate seeing the bogus copy on there. Will also add a link to my recently purchased Wriggler and the custom loader one.
