Jaws 2, I love jaws, but I don't think that is a guilty pleasure. Where as a lot of people think 2 was creep.
2's alright imo, Jaws 3D is the proper guilty pleasure of that franchise. some of the special fx (especially the climax sequence where jaws crashes into the glass wall) are hilarious
Mario Bros movie. It's terrible, but I keep coming back to it.
A Night At The Roxbury - It has 11% on Rotten Tomato's 'Tomatometer'. It's rubbish, but for some reason I enjoy it.
I suppose old cartoons including the really dated pre-war ones are a bit of a guilty pleasure, though I'm not as obsessed as I used to be.
Latcho Drom - Basically it's one big long gypsy music video. The cinematography and the music is great, but I'd feel embarrassed watching it with someone else, as most people would probably find it really boring.
Funny Man - It's low budget and tacky, but it has charm and it's experimental. Again, something I appreciate, but I imagine a lot of people would absolutely loathe it!
I have a lot of guilty pleasures, but I've got better at feeling less guilty about them, and not worrying about other people's reactions to my strange (possibly crap) tastes. A good example is that when I was a kid, I chucked out some of my CDs, because my family kept moaning about them and saying "I don't know how you like that crap". I ended up chucking out Cypress Hill - Insane in the Brain, and now I'm older I realise that's a brilliant song, and my family just had crap taste! Nowadays, I've learnt not to bin the embarrassing CD purchases I've made and be less embarrassed by them; we all have embarassing stuff in our collections probably.
I'm sort of the black sheep in my family. I seem to be the only one that doesn't like Coldplay, so I have to suffer listening to it (and similar droll) at family gatherings.
My only Speccy game (so far): a simple snake clone
That is cult, not guilty pleasure. :)
I think the same about Flash Gordon. Any film with Max Von Sydow in is all cult.
Like The Quiller Memorandom, which to me is a film version of Man in the Suitcase or possibly the other way round.
Great fan of most Friday the thirteenth films and all but one nightmare on elm street films. And yes, that does include Jason X and Jason vs Freddy.
yeah jason x the 'if youve run out of ideas, set it in space' one :) actually I think that one has one of the best kills of the whole series. probably dont need to say which one!
saw freddy vs jason when it came out but cant remember anything about it tbh. never got into the nightmare on elm st movies, they dont really do anything for me
I love a 1970's horror film called 'Horror Hospital' starring Robin Askwith(!) it's so bad it's good. The plot is very silly but it has boobs and front bottoms in it as well :))
It also has lots of heads getting chopped off, but they don't look very convincing.
yeah this one is properly camp-tastic in a 70s way. I like the bit where they meet on the train at the start. "its alright, im not going to rape you" !
Nice way to introduce yourself.
Twenty minutes later they're having sex! :))
Plus the guy who plays Dr Storm went on to be Alfred the Butler in the first few Batman movies!

I love that movie. You're thinking of the head dipped into liquid nitrogen, right? ;) What a great kill. :)
...but the scene with the two girls in their sleeping bags get's points for being fvcking hilarious. :))

thats it... pretty sure most of the kills (at least in the 80s installments) had to be toned down because the censors didnt like them. that one is brutal tho!
The Lord of the Rings animation is fantastic, and a tragedy it was never completed. There is a Rankin-Bass sing-song animation of The Hobbit and The Return of the King that was bought up, bundled with Bakshi's and briefly marketed as a trilogy in the USA. I have all three from various sources but the other two aren't a patch on Bakshi's production.

It was a charming film
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
Top of my list is anything by Aki Kaurismäki..like Lenningrad Cowboys Go America, Ariel or Drifting Clouds. I really get the Finnish sense of humour...which is why I have a Finnish name I guess.
I will sit down and watch ANY Hammer Horror...and even some gruesome modern horrors.
I love Film Noir. Some smokin' broad in furs and gloves in some PI's office..the dialogue..never been surpassed.
Krull, Hawk the Slayer and that fantasy genre are brill...though I didn't like movies such as Ladyhawke or Beastiemaster.
The Keep..someone mentioned..love that. Tangerine Dream soundtrack makes it VERY special.
Not exactly guilty pleasures...just what I like really. Mind you..very few people I meet have even heard of Aki Kaurismäki.
I don't like these romances...well maybe the old 50s and 60s ones.

None of this surprises me about Kaija, especially the Hammer and Film Noir films.
The Satanic Rites of Dracula - a Hammer film set in modern day (well, 1973) London. Very cheesy but it has Peter Cushing who is always good.
I love all the old Hammer moves, even the non horror films, i have many on DVD or download.

Yeah, that's a good one. I think my favourite is Captain Kronos -Vampire Hunter. I never tire of the bit where he puts the sword to the three thugs in the inn.
Oh here is a film I have not seen in years that I remember loving.
"The Greed of William Hart". Sorta a take on the Burke and Hare story. starring Tod Slaughter. 1948. Briiiiiliant.

I like that film, but it's a proper bunch of arse :D
Flash Gordon (yup the 1980 film with the queen soundtrack)
The Stuff
Terror train (with David Copperfield)

£122 down the swanny :(
The shame...
Aerobicide. slasher set in a gym.
Things. one of the most incompetent horrors ever but funny
ICED. slasher set in a ski resort.
The Mutilator. slasher set on a beach resort.
Friday 13th pt8:Jason Takes Manhattan. I love this even though its pants
hmm I like crappy 80s slashers
harsh, that sucks. I did have one CD turn up after about 4 months, generally the delivery time is 1 week max. (maybe 2 weeks from US sellers)
And kindergarten cop just for the Soundboard quotes

Far superior to the modern rubbish versions.
