  • It was a good game..cept I only had a Japanese version(cartridge facia torn off in order to fit in the machine)...that made it very difficult.
I stole it off a space ship.

I have just seen the film Westworld and have noticed several homages to the Prisoner in it !

If you go to the six of one website there is a link to their E-Bay page, where they are selling a fan pack of 35 items for about £12 inc post, they have about four left

Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........

  • oh, sorry kinda assumed you were new like Kaija. As you have probably read by now, my memory lately has been crap. I put it down to stress. I think I'm using all my MIPS at work.

That's the good thing about the Prisoner isn't it? You can watch it again and again. Never loses its tarnish.
    Sod it!

  • Yes, the Blu ray is the best version I've seen - the sound is 5.1 by default and sounds terrible on my TV but it has the option to switch to Mono. One "problem" is that it's easier to spot scenes that were shot in the studio using painted backdrops of the Village, but this might also be down my familiarity with the programme.

Over the years I've had the Channel 5 video tapes (1980s), the remastered VHS release (late 1990s), the original Carlton DVDs, the remastered Network DVDs and the Australian DVDs. The Australian DVDs are also very good, beautiful menus and excellent picture quality.

I wonder how good the 4K version is going to be!

I thought that was a brilliant episode.. the chess scene reminded me of Mel Brook's History of the world(part II)..Knight takes Queen...Bishop takes queen...GANG BANG!
