Possibly a trademarking thing, it's a lot more difficult to argue a trademark on a common word (though not impossible, e.g. Apple) but a deliberate misspelling like Jetpac is easy to enforce.

Have you also noticed, the game being an early one, they have left a black line midway on the picture in order to display the 'loading' message in black on black.
