Long lost games

Who remembers a game from codemasters called "rock star ate my hamster"? this game is so bad its good! Can anyone get to number 1 and get the platinum discs? I cant! any tips? Also on a totally different note i use my pc through a router this makes the system chronically slow, any tips?? cheers!

    Router shouldn't affect speed. The only bottleneck is usually your ISP.

    Can you imagine half meg at 50:1 contention and the other 49 dweebs all downloading mpeg and mp3's nightmare.

    I love my cable connection :)

    Have you checked the port forwarding on the router. If you have DHCP running and more than one pc on the network this can cause problems when resetting the router and the order you turn the pc's back on.

    Hmmm DHCP should give away the first free IP address and it usually has persistence.
    Guess you'll have to give more details of your setup.
    Here I have:
    cable modem > IPCop Firewall > 10/100 hub > Client PC's

    Port forwarding isn't usually needed unless you are running P2P or Skype or Yahoo Chat or similar type things.

    Some routers have speed restrictions/load balancing. These can be changed via the admin menu.

    A big difference can be if you are using any download software. Some ISP's only have serial connections. I can download at 3mb, but if my upload is at maximum (300k), then I get really slow downloads.

    By the way, the game is awesome!
    There must be cheats for this game, maybe on Tipshop, try looking there, because I remember that I've used cheats while playing this game. :)

    Maybe, but there aren't any rules saying you can't discuss games that are denied.

    There is also nothing to stop people making their own TZX files from their originals..

    i made a TZX at my mates house from the original - remember playing this game but not for long, it really was so bad....but interesting.
