Feeling for you Boozy, where the hell did that 2 years go to ?
Yeah thanks Grey, yesterday was a bit pap, and last night at work was awful, I just had no drive whatsoever. But it's the day after now, I almost don't feel as bad.
I assume the butter looking thing at the back is my packet of Custard Creams, which strangely enough looking at my desk right now appears to have vanished?
I have no idea what the Garbage Pail Kid is doing there? It's a new one though, almost an imposter, they reset the series number back to 1 I suppose, and started again. Wife picked me up a couple of packs a year or so back for a laugh. She saw them at a dollar store somewhere, and remembered I used to like them. I've still got all of the original series 3, 4, 5, and 6 :))
I even have a few of those Shonky Garbage Gang stickers from about 1992.
Saggiest buns I've seen in a while. What have you done to them?
It's Chic-Fil-A, hence the term Bigot Chicken....My morals prevent me from buying Chic-Fil-A, but if somebody brings it to me my morals prevent me from wasting food ;)
Sirloin with raisins, pine nuts, red wine and onions. One of my fave dishes, and I think I posted it before.
This time with baked potatoes (salt and oil). They were put over the sirloin so the saucer doesn't look visually correct for this thread standards, but It was delicious!
I like everything on your saucer but the raisins, you kinda lost me there, but I could fish them out of the garnish and flick them at people :))
Funny those baked potatoes are what the Americans call roast potatoes, a bit of salt and oil rubbed on them then in the oven. I tell my wife that's not a roast potato, and since I'm a Brit I've got her edumacated, she can make a killer roast potato now...
Those little potato things are OK though, if I make em' I cut em' up, sometimes I leave the skins on them, and I usually par-boil them before I do the oil and salt. They're quite nice, but in my mind they're not roast potatoes. But since you called em' baked that may be closer to the truth, I call em' oven potatoes.
Eee by gum does your belly touch your bum?
Do your tits hang low, do they swing to and fro?
Can you swing em' round and round?
Do they scrape along the ground?
Can they touch you on the bot?
Can you tie em' in a knot?
A roast chicken from a grill house near home. The perfect meal in a rainy day like today. With chips (this time no healthy oven potatoes! :D ) are delicious. A huge dollop of mayo wad added after the pic.
The chips look like they came from those cheap bags of Skinny fries you get from somewhere like Kwik Save or Iceland for 80p.
They're like bags off offcuts, or rejects from full length French fries, and if you cook em' in the oven they burn, and if you cook em' in a fryer or chip pan they're so small they fall through the rack, and end up floating around in the oil. They don't cook properly deep fried either, and you usually have to fish them out of the oil afterwards. The only way to sort of cook em' right is to shallow fry them, then they just absorb all the oil and go a sickly yellow colour.
I think this is my first saucer picture post, which is remarkable given the amount of cooking I do! Although this looks like a plate of diarrhea-topped rice, it was actually my variation on the recipe I posted the other day for a Chinese Chicken curry. My variation replaced the chicken with beef (well, steak), big chunks of onion added and some peas. It was easily the equal of any Beef Curry I've had from a Chinese takeaway, in fact one of the best curries I've ever had. Really, really easy to make too. Home made prawn toast too. Missus and three kids wolfed it down :-)
I saw the pic of the brown slop on top of the rice before I read the text, I thought for a second it was gonna be Juan with a plate of Menudo, or something like that.
I am gonna try that curry recipe you posted up on one of my days off though. Good job you posted this though, as I was having a few issues with my PC this morning, and I just CCleaner, and Malwarebytes it. I appear to have accidentally wiped my bookmarks, which funnily enough were 2 other sites with curries on them, and the one you posted. Not much in the way of bookmarks considering I've had this PC about 4 years now :))

You still have the Nuke launch codes right ?
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........

I swear it looked a lot more appetising in real life - then again, Chinese curries aren't exactly pretty. Well worth a try, I know you're a curry-a-holic just like me. Just adjust it to how your usual takeout would be - hence why I introduced the wedges of onion and peas. I always find curry recipes to be a bit under-flavoured so I just doubled everything and made a bigger batch :-) Except the chilli powder - the stuff I've got is really bloody hot, and I like hot, just not when it burns a hole through my tongue. Plus the next day is never pleasant...
No, those are Roast Potatoes. Some foreign places wot don't speak proper English call them Oven Potatoes, but then they're the sort of menus that describe meals as 'served in the kettle' when they mean 'pot'. But at least we know what they're trying to say.
The big whole ones slow-cooked in their skins are Baked Potatoes, as they're not usually basted in oil. Hence 'baked', not 'roasted'.

Not you fault matey! How would you know? :)

Early beer o' clock today I think though.
That looks tasty, nommity nomster.
What's that thing that looks like butter at the back?
What's that garbage pail kid card doing there?

I can't really make out what exactly the creature on the card is supposed to be, but from the colour I'd think it is made out of multiple zx1 pizzas?
You're not too wrong about the character on the card it's made of cheese, and it's name is Lin Berger ;)
Pie crust dry as a witches tit oven chips burnt to buggery no soddin' gravy, north east cuisine at it's best. :D
On a more serious note I lost my folks many years ago and I feel for you bro I truly do. :)
Bigot Chicken!
Or is that the NEW crockery set that your wife has been hinting at, you could have got her some better ones ;)

I used to say it to your ex girlfriend as well !

As to the potatoes, yes, you're right, 'oven potatoes' should be more correct (It was lost in traslation! :( )
She didn't have a ringpiece - just very saggy boobs!
:))

The latter is what looks like what happened here?
The chicken looks quite tasty though...
