Wow, not exactly conventional office music...

It's quite amusing to see the looks on people's faces when they walk in to my office and hear Beefheart playing. :D
  • I listened to 2 Brainbombs albums, then 2 Lard albums, then a big long mix of Kunt and the Gang last night at work.

I still get the impression that the people I work with don't strictly share my musical tastes :))

  • I'm confused with youtubes selection? I just left it playing, it's gone from Kunt and the Gang, to the Macc Lads, to Big Black, to Bauhaus?

That just doesn't even make sense to me? I'm not signed in it's not playing a list that matches stuff I'd watch? :))

  • I'm listening to the new Kristin Hersh (double) album, sounds great so far. She's touring the UK at the moment and I bought it at one of her gigs last week.
Mel the Bell, I saw a poster for the UK Subs there so they're doing a tour if you're interested (maybe you already know this or maybe you're not in the UK but I thought I'd mention it, so I mentioned it)

  • Cool, ooh Top 5 gigs would be an interesting thing in that top 5s thread, if I can remember them all. But I suppose if I can't remember them they've got no place in the top 5.
  • Nirvana - The man who sold the world

  • Nearly 30 years later it still sounds like the future.

  • After listening to Iron Maiden's Fear of the dark again i've decided it wasn't that bad, i like it now. It only took me 24 years :)
I still think Somewhere in time is their weakest effort though, i've never managed to get into that album despite listening to it many times
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • The 'Back in the USSR' version by Billy Joel. Much better (imho) than the Beatle's.
  • Then:
The Offspring - Gotta Get Away
Midnight Oil - King of the Mountain
    The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
  • Last few days was Motorhead

    Bad magic
    Aftershock
    Motorhead

    then
    The Meteors - Power of 3 (2016)

I think its possibly the 'worst' of the 80s bruce albums, but even tho heaven can wait, loneliness of the long distance runner and Deja vu are a bit filler-ish I still love all the other tracks.

I used to not like Sea of madness and stranger in a strange land but now I really like them a lot

After all these years I still can't get into Maiden, which is weird cos' I quite liked them when I was about 6 or 7 years old :))

I just feel they're super, super, overrated...Even more than Metalishit, or Pants tearer.

  • their first album is quite punky tbh. then they went all iron maideny.

Im not a die hard fan, their mid 90s albums with blaze bayley are beyond crap and i havent really liked any of the post-reunion ones with bruce either
  • book of lost souls is excellent, i have the super duper fold out triple vinyl thingy, quite proggy

  • You also have...

    -A third nipple.
-Several prostitutes corpses in your basement.
    -Learning Disabilities.
    -Joey Deacon's Autograph.
    -Barry Sheen's Autograph.
-A giant surplus of Rolf Harris albums on vinyl.
-A black make up box, and dress you keep under your bed in a locked trunk.

The Final Frontier from 2010 was pretty good, Isle of Avalon has become one of my favourite Maiden tracks but i totally avoid the Blaze Bayley stuff.
They'll never top Seventh Son which i believe is when they were at the absolute top of their game.
