RIP George. Never thought much of him until he performed Somebody To Love at the Freddie Mercury Tribute. For me that was one of the greatest live performances of all time.
Wow! Never seen that before. Just shows the eventual live performance was no fluke. He really could sing, and probably the song that had Freddie's vocals at their very, very best. To say George was nearly as good is an accolade and a half.

Yep, at the beginning Brian May can be barely contain his delight at George's performance and towards the end David Bowie and Seal are looking on very admiringly.
Yup, George should've been in Queen after Freddie died. He had the vocal talent to match Freddie.
RIP George and Rick. Thanks for all those songs and tunes.
Never liked Wham as a kid, liked some of his later stuff and get a bit nostalgic when I hear a Wham song now. But I will always admire him as an artist, he did have great talent. He certainly did a much better job than that Adam Lambert with Queen, who just mullered the greatest Queen songs.
Didn't see that one coming. Wasn't a massive fan and i never liked Wham! much but some of his solo songs were not bad.
2016 is grabbing as many as it can before the year ends.
I wonder if tomorrow we'll be reading about Michael Caine or someone passing on.

Surprised at George though, although he was into a lot of bad shite years ago. I expected mid 60s for him tbh..

I don't think anyone knows, I heard rumours that his birth date was written on a stone tablet somewhere, but I've never seen it, ;)
