Yeah, I haven't had time to play, too many things to do :(
I haven't played Vault-Tec or Nuka yet either, I'll get Far Harbor out of the way first, there are still some people there I need to murder :D
I'm going to spend the weekend mopping up on Fallout 4, as I've not completed Far Harbor yet, and want to try the new DLC's.
I've been missing out on the thrill of slaughter!!! Kaija has given me an idea for a mod for it... Body-eating Pigs :D
Been back to Grandchester Mansion, what's the deal with that girl you can't kill? She just stands and creepily stares at you! And why is there a room i can't get into? There's a forcefield stopping me! This place is **** up!
You know the whole time I haven't been playing this recently? You know what's been stuck in my head? The background music from The Island, it's depressing, but it's one of the best tunes in the entire game. Possibly one of the most fitting atmospheric tunes in any game ever actually, now that I think of it.
I lost my saved game and i'm starting it all from scratch (it's not so fun, now that I mention it, once you lose most of the surprise elements and having to play again with awfull guns...).
To compensate, I bought all the ad ons to the game... But I have a stupid question: how do I playthem? Do I need to be far ahead in the game? Do I need to finish it?
Like most Bethesda games Fallout 4 unlocks the extras when you're at a certain level, so you're gonna have to play for a while til' you can do them I think.

I'm not sure if I'll ever start a second character, since I still have so much left to do with the first one :))
I also have too many games to get through, and obviously I'm waiting for Yakuza 0, and after that probably NieR: Automata, and I didn't want to start anything that's going to take months to get through knowing that those 2 games will take months to get through.
The sensible thing to do obviously was to create a character on, and then start playing Elder Scrolls online :))
Might start the second game very soon, i feel like i need to play this, i haven't played the game properly for a while now.
Might play as a woman so i can get some girl on girl action going! :))
Started my second playthrough and i've already **** it up! I went into the console to change my stats (agility, luck etc) and have done something to the perk chart and it doesn't seem to recognise that all stats are at 9, seems to think they're all at their original values. Well, i'm not starting again as i'm at Level 8 but progress this time has been painfully slow.
I'm also building my base at Red Rocket and staying away from Sanctuary so i don't keep getting missions from Preston Garbage every 10 seconds, they can do their own thing :))
I found Red Rocket a bit of a pain to build on - it's quite small. Ended up having to construct quite a few levels to a fairly small building. You get a good view from the roof though.. :)
I've only got 3 machine gun defence turrets built so far so you would probably blow up the whole place!
Hopefully i would be elsewhere at that time :))

No no no, I would wait until you are asleep dreaming of light pink fluffy unicorns, then drop an explosive elephant on you, heheheheheheheheh
Just ditch it go to sanctuary take down a load of the trees and do the wooden pole spamming, you'll be at the same level in about 20 minutes.
I'd say I wish I'd known about the wooden pole trick before I was at level 30, but I'm glad I didn't, since I'm a strict no cheating, or playing on easy type player, and leveling up quickly would've ruined my first playthrough in the long run.
I'd feel no shame doing it for my second character for the sake of time though, I exploited the sh*t out of blacksmithing, and alchemy for my second Skyrim character. Which is fine because I tend to like those skills, so It was actually quite fun doing it.
I have no idea if it's been nerfed with patches since early on, but you take down the trees in sanctuary find a nice piece of open ground, or dismantle a house and use the foundations of that. and just walk backwards slowly building wooden poles as you go, when you run out of wood dismantle all the poles, and do it again with the wood you salvaged from the first time.
You get experience for building and destroying the poles, so just repeat until you run out of wood completely. Apparently this works good until about level 30, when it then apparently becomes a bit pointless as it takes ages after that.
I've never done it before, so like I said above I've no idea if they nerfed it? Can't remember if I read it somewhere or saw a youtube vid of somebody doing it though?
Probably long gone now due to the amount of updates the game's had.
XP isn't a problem it's the stats you set up at the start of the game (agility, luck etc). I can't get the breath underwater perk as i need endurance 5, i mucked it up with the console commands. Now i can't fix the water pipes at Thicket Excavations. I guess i'll just have to kill the guy who asked me to fix it :D
Yeah i remembered that from my first playthrough. I also noticed for some reason they kept some mirelucks in a cage. Bloody Codsworth went over and opened the door so i just watched them kill some of the raiders :))
Codsworth did my head in. Apparently it upsets him if you pick up junk, but I wasn't about to leave a ton of salvage behind.
He and Danse were the only ones I didn't get 100% affinity from - and Danse was just because I turned on the BOS before I managed it. (I was at about 85% with Danse, but then I had to do a bunch of Railroad missions and I thought he wouldn't be welcome there).
I got 100% affinity with Codsworth without ever travelling with him, so long as he's nearby when you create stuff in Sanctuary you'll get the points without having to drag him along with you and suffer his incessant babble.

That is what I was afraid of...

Damn! This game needs multiplayer lol

Not happy :(

Having said that, i'm with you, i don't like to cheat.

That guy's a tw@ anyway - after he gets everything drained he moves his raider mates in and becomes their boss.

His perk is sh*t anyway if I remember rightly.
