I remember that song it was f**king dire! My and my mates used to sing along to it every time it was on TV, or Radio when it was out, but we'd change the word sing to stink...To be fair we didn't really know all the words (Or maybe any of them actually?) soooo it was a lot of mumbling then Stink, STINK, STIIIIIIIIIINK! :))
Just finished the new Still Game series 7, six episodes that were mostly ace but the last episode felt a little rushed.
I'd love to see a long running soap opera made in the vein of still game. Where by it was not all doom, gloom and get ahgt my pub yer barred, cheating wifes and **** hard case womanisers like Stenders and Corrie but actually just a vehicle for a funny look at life. However, not all soppy and gooey like that Gavin and Stacy series.
Eight days a week - the new Beatles documentry on DVD. Not happy so far as they've overdubbed some perfomances, such as the ABC Manchester songs are overdubbed using the Shea Stadium versions. Why?
But yeah that would probably annoy me, probably hoping the younger hipster types wouldn't notice the change, or some c*nt in a suit probably thought it sounded better. Forget actual performances or reality :))
Jean Claude Van Johnson - new series on Amazon Originals. Amazingly I thought it was really good, JCVD is the best I've ever seen him in anything (not saying much I know) and he really takes the **** out of himself and references his old stuff.
Amazon really are producing some high quality stuff.
Adam Ant - The Blueback Hussar (2013)
Gaming in colour (documentary about Queer gaming)
Never heard of either of these, thanks for the heads up. Missed Adam Ant when he last toured, so this might help fill me in on what he's up to.
The latter one I'm curious about, not sure how much they can get out of that topic, so be interesting to see what they have to say or if they're just levering an agenda into something that isn't really needed.
Yesterday I watched 'Passengers' Starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence.
Yawn. What a load of crap. It's all completely watchable until the end, then they basically just trail off into some Weyland Yutani style corporate crap that makes little sense. Like they remembered that they have Jennifer Lawrence, so can't just have the film end, she has to make some sort of social/political statement, because she is Katniss after all. It's like they couldn't decide if it was The Shining (in space) or Castaway (in space) or The Martian (in space). It could have been a moderately entertaining movie, but the ending is like finding a turd at the bottom of your popcorn box... and the rest is as predictable as popcorn.
It's not proper Dirk Gently, but y'know...it's something to watch, and seems suitably weird enough to keep me watching for now....
I've had this on the back burner until I finish some other shows. Didn't realise it was American, that doesn't seem right, and Dirk is a weird casting choice. Hopefully the script overcomes that weakness, since the one from a few years ago was quite good in a low budget sort of way.

Yeah, probably better if you go into this not really thinking about it as a proper Dirk Gently thing, but more of an alternate reality Dirk Gently thing...
Although Douglas Adams did intend on setting the follow on Dirk Gently books in America for some reason, I found the books a hard read as I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be funny or not.
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
Not going out series 3 episode 1 (pregnant) LOL, funny as hell
A new series of that started last night, i haven't watched it yet though.
Might not be as funny cos now they're married, that was part of the humour before.
Comments
Is Travis in it? :))
