The apollo computer

I hope someone finds this as fascinating as I did. Its a short documentary showing how the Apollo mission computer is operated and constructed. Filmed at Raytheon and MIT.

  • Very interesting indeed.
  • It is good they had all of that computing power on Earth, when NASA say that even a musical greeting card has more computing power than any of the craft that went to the " Moon " and came back safely with no problems.

Perhaps it is a coincidence that the Apollo 13 near disaster happened at a time when most Americans had declared very little interest in the missions and wanted them to be stopped, a convenient " accident " changed all of that, what a coincidence that is was 13 that it happened to and not 14, Einstein said " there is no such thing as a coincidence ".

According to a source I've created in my own head the actual quote was "Never wipe your arse with a broken bottle"
  • Is it just Source bottles you should not use, Ghandi once said " sandpaper is an inferior toilet paper " allegedly !

Although 120 grit is acceptable I believe he was referring to wet and dry abrasive paper.
  • Just don't use it any sandpaper grade on your butt if it is in an electric sander, you might drop it in the water
