I have it on the PS3 and was playing it earlier today. I'm on my second run through, this time on the "hard" setting. It's brilliant. If you like the first person shooter genre I'd call it unmissable.
It's essentially a repeat of FC3 - same graphics, same gameplay, just a different location and storyline. If you can get FC3 for a bargain price, grab it. But not Far Cry 2, that one was good at the time but hasn't dated well.
I played the second and third one but i just couldn't get into them, i really, really tried but it wasn't happening. The second one stopped working after a while when i upgraded my PC and in the third i was sick of being attacked everywhere i went and couldn't get anything done.
Someone said there's some boobs in the third one but i didn't get that far :))
Far Cry 4 is pretty damn good! It is pretty similar to Far Cry 3 in terms of gameplay, etc. but that's no bad thing as Far Cry 3 was some of the best fun I had with a shooter for ages! It's worth bearing in mind that you'll do an awful lot of exploring and driving, gliding through the air, etc. as well though, so if it's a straightforward FPS you're looking for you might be a wee bit disappointed....
I'm still relatively near the start of Far Cry 4, mission wise, despite having played it for hours! There's just so much stuff to do whilst wandering around...
In terms of ways to tackle missions though, not many come close to the Far Cry games! You can go in all stealthy like, or with guns blazing..or parachute in after soaring through the air in your wingsuit, land next to an elephant, and ride in on the back of that causing chaos and freeing tigers from cages to help you out along the way! :D
So yeah, I highly recommend all the Far Cry games....even 2 was great, despite being a bit too repetitive with its missions....Oh, and if you do like multiplayer, all of them have awesome versions of that too, and some great user-created maps to download! :)
The first Far Cry was hard as nails ... the enemies could spot you from a mile and later on in the in-door missions you'd take so much damage. But it sure looked awesome back in the day compared to the other FPS of the time.

For PS4 Far Cry is the cheapest one available right now (of the ones with good reviews and that seem good)

iirc I tried FC2 and FC3 but tbh, they were kinda boring...
Doesn't this pretty much describe every FPS in existence these days? :))

I think I already have one of the FC's on Steam, might have to load up with explosives and go visiting the characters in-game, ;)
Excellent, that will make them easier to mutilate... They won't see it coming mUAHAHAHAHAH
