  • I'll probably have it on tonight.
Just got Cait as my companion (she's probably my favourite). I checked out who does her voice and it's some girl born in Glasgow :))

Curie is the only real companion, especially when kitted out in her nurse uniform, ;)
    So far, so meh :)
  • She's cute but talks too much which starts too annoy me.
I've set up Red Rocket as my main base of operations, i gave Sanctuary food, water, some beds, food and some gun turrets. They can do the rest themselves :))
Maybe i should just murder them instead?

I'm doing my second run, after having lost my original save...

I'm finding it all way to easy. I'm not even using the power armor...

I used to be afraid of roaming in the wasteland, but Right now I'm the biggest monster in those woods, and I've barely reached level 10...

  • I used power armour once but only because I found it, (it was in that satellite array) but beyond that I've been fine. I'll probably use it more when I meet bigger baddies (such as the Assaultron, they are deadly up close).
Still having problems with ammo, I keep running out so I take if off as much dead people as I can, it saves buying if off trashcan Carla.
    Currently at level 20

  • In the end I never took my power armour off, I've got something ridiculous like 9999 fusion cores

Sad thing is I was still pretty low leveled when I had that many, like most Bethesda games, few weeks playing and you're invincible :))

Oh if just for a laugh you want to really p*ss Cait off do a load of drink and drugs in front of her, she does not approve at all :))
    Every night is curry night!
  • I ended up with about 10 different suits of power armour.. I hardly ever used it - I found in the end it lowered my carry weight. I just left it all around the main house in Sanctuary with the power cores removed so the bolloxes couldn't swipe it.

I got the Armourer perk to make deep pocketed armour pieces, full Strong Back perk, full Strength stars in S.M.A.R.T. and then got the full Action Boy perk and Solar Powered. I also got almost all of the 'Powered' legendary armour pieces apart from the right arm, so my Action Points recharged pretty damn quick. I spent most of my time chugging around overloaded, picking up whatever I found.

My carry weight in sunlight is about 430, which still seems pretty low, but wearing power armour knocks it down by 50.
  • My carry weight is 7000 but only cos i changed it in the console :))

  • Has anyone tried a melee build character?

I remember trying one in New Vegas, but gave up quickly as it's really easy for enemies to pick you off way before you reach them..

Never played NV, but I think it'd be p*ss easy to make one in Fallout 3 or 4, especially 4 as you have unarmed VATS moves that can close the distance between you and a far away enemy, and do a load of damage.

I think if you did a melee' build with a high sneak skill you'd be almost as invincible as my Power Armour wearing Tank (I didn't even make an intentional Tank Build it just kind of happened :)) ).

Yeah high Melee' with high Stealth?.......It'd be kind of like this...

    Every night is curry night!
  • Like that but with Gnorark Batle Axe! :D
  • Right now I'm using a bladed Tire Iron... It's so effective I don't know why It took me so long to use one in the game!
  • Next mission is to head over to Trinity Tower which is heaving with Super Mutants :))
Don't really have enough ammo for that mission yet, still haven't been to Corvega Car Factory yet.
Think i'll do the easy low ammo missions first such as collecting paint for that guy at Diamond City :D
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • I think that's what puts me off subsequent play throughs, you pretty much have to do a bunch of rubbish quests at the start of the game... 8-|

Kill them all.... One can be a lovers tiff, and the other just find a baseball bat and bludgeon them to death, :D

  • Haha! Schwing-Badda-Badda :))

  • I killed the guy then shagged the girl in front of his still twitching body, she loved it! :))
Did i take that too far? :D
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Nah you need to finger his corpse while you're shagging his missus...

  • Played it last night and found Jezebel, I wanted to kill her so much but she's needed for a mission.
I might kill her after the mission :))

Use a melee weapon with the crippling trait, even if the Deathcalw is too tough to take down in one you can stop it from being able to run after you if you VATS the legs...

  • Does anyone know if there is a way into the Institute without using the Railroad? I want to totally ignore them this time around :))
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • I thought when you build that big machine thingummy you could choose to go with the Minutemen instead? Though I only chose the Railroad option so am not sure.
  • edited February 2017
Yeah you can build the transporter with the Minutemen, or the Brotherhood, so Minutemen it is I would assume, as nobody wants to be associated with the Brotherhood, cos' they're uber wankers.

Also why ignore the Railroad if you don't like them burst their heeds with big guns instead, I started to feel like DiMA, and Acadia had the right idea for the synths, and the Railroad started to look less helpful and more clueless, and stupid. I never told anybody about Acadia, the Railroad seemed like they'd be more a of a problem than a help, and it's pretty obvious the Brotherhood will murder them all, and the Institute will reclaim them all.
