  • Bloody hell, its become right expensive recently. (Though it was never cheap). I lived in Hengrove/ Whitchurch for a while and Knowle West was the area to avoid. Its now known as Knowle Park and houses go for £250K+. Madness.

You get a free Madness with every house, cor !
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
  • Best choice it gave me was the Shetland Islands, but it only scored 61% compatibility.

I think leaving the UK was a good choice. :)
  • Nah... Tits all the way. :)
  • I thought places like Berkshire or parts of leafy Surrey were the best places to live, even though they're probably full of hipsters now!

  • Depends what criteria you like. If you enjoy being stabbed and going to the theatre then London's a good place to live. But not everyone likes that.
  • Sounds like a strange night out !

I will say Bristol does indeed seem a very nice place to live. Close to sea side resorts for days out, also not too far from Cornwall. Also, the landscape and architecture is very appealing. It seems to be a place with a bit of everything. Its situated in the middle of many great places to go, wales, Cotswolds, Salisbury Hill , Bath, Taunton,

Aww, now I'm getting all teary eyed and homesick.

Boooo hooo hooo, chip shops, boooo hooo hooo curry houses in every town, boooo hooo pavements booo hooo public transport boooo hoooo NHS booo hoooo Donald Trump.

I thought Surrey and Berkshire was full of stockbroker types that don't usually run around stabbing people, unless your name is Patrick Bateman :))

For no go areas check out parts of Glasgow, they are so rough you get beaten up if you don't carry a blade :))
Some parts are really grim, places like Haghill, Possill, Milton, Parkhead and Shettlestone and don't go to Easterhouse unless you want stabbed.

nah it's full of very well heeled people, who were there for years. I remember picking up 2 toastracks and had to drive thru Sunningdale and the houses there were millions 4+ easily.

hipsters are in area's like dalston, shorditch and hhm hackney.. live in grotty places.. it's sorta bohemian like notting hill was before the irish / blacks etc were kicked out.. and richard curtis made it attractive with that film.. joke was studio we used to use was next to the blue door, in a basement (long gone now) and well area was grotty in parts.

having a house around here then and now, it's impossible to live here if you were buying.. most of my friends were forced to buy houses as it got that crazy. the property thing for 2nd+ homes will help, but foreigners who buy houses and don't live in em has f'd things up also.

I know folk from easterhouse / castlemilk .. nothing wrong with em ;)

  • Not only did you father someone way older than yourself, you seem to also be a father to someone of a different species than you.
