I am impressed with how well they fake their enthusiasm.
What's that? Not fake, you say?
Oh, well, then they're simply just lameo teenagers.
My apologies to non-lameo teenagers, for the bad rep those vloggers are giving them.
... Or something.
Is it wrong that I want to kill those people? I couldn't give a flying f*ck how nice their house is.......
Like that super rich guy who facebooked every aspect of his life, even showing people his new state of the art burglar alarm he had fitted to protect the place while he was travelling the world for the next month. He was so dense that you could clearly see the security number he used for the alarm. Needless to say he had only been away for a day when he was burgled. There was probably a queue around the block as he had given so much information out.
Every time I read that the oldest person in the world has died, I have to do a quick check to see it isn't ME..........
Curious isn't it, that people who talk loudly and very fast, and appeal to lonely males, actually have nothing to say. Watch any so-called YouTube 'star', they don't actually have any content. If they are playing a game all they do is over-elaborate what is occurring on screen. In minute detail.
Getting back to these lonely males, and it is just mainly males who watch this, donate money etc. It's like having a bigger brother, who is great at a game they like, the bigger brother they never had. It's filling a void in their lives as they don't watch TV, listen to the radio or even go out much except when they have to. If an enemy army landed on the coast intent on taking over the country they would just roll straight through. Our young generation wouldn't even answer the knock on the door, or lift their eyes from their touch screen phones. They are fodder.
YouTube, and Twitch as well, is like CB radio for the 21st century. You remember CB radio right? Lot's of chat... no content unless someone had lost a dog. OK, yes I've watched how to change a battery in an iPod, and I've tried to learn how to use FL Studio with every video series made by some jive-talking imbecile wearing a baseball cap backwards.... it grinds you down. Don't forget to like my post and hit that subscribe button, because that's how I value my worth in a society full of wormfood.
I mean, on the original XBox console, there is no battery to store the time when the console is turned off at the wall socket. Instead it has a capacitor that store the charge for a while. But for whatever reason, this capacitor eventually goes bad, and can leak and damage the motherboard, killing the XBox.
I am so glad you mentioned this! I have been using a number of modded Xboxs for years and I did not know this!
I have now hastily opened up two of my Xboxs to remove the capacitors before I go on holiday! Both of them were leaking but no damage yet. Luckily my main modded Xbox is a version 1.6 and is (supposedly) immune. I have one more spare Xbox, which I will fix at a later date. I can't believe I had never heard of this problem before! Phew!
It is bad that Microsoft have never (as far as I know) publicised this fault, and it's unfortunate that the XBox-scene.com forums disappeared a few years back, as they contained just about everything anyone could want to know about any aspect of the XBox, hardware-wise and software-wise even down to what files it was safe to delete from a commercial game that you were running from the hard drive - since DVDs have so much storage space (especially in relation to a console that only has 64MB of RAM and was released in 2001!) then Microsoft tended to make the same disc available in all three regions(PAL/NTSC/JAP), so lots of games for the original XBox contained stuff you personally wouldn't need, like foreign language speech files, videos in both PAL and NTSC format (you'd only ever only need one set, depending on the region of the game and your XBox), demos for other games, etc Sometimes when you'd copied the game to your hard drive, you could delete more than gigabyte of files (which was a considerable saving back then) to save hard drive space.
Yes, the v1.6 XBox is supposed to be (a) the only one that has a capacitor that won't leak, and (b) the only one that won't boot if you just remove the capacitor, apparently you MUST replace the capacitor as the 1.6 refuses to boot if it can' fine the capacitor. I don't know from experience if any of this is true, but I've read the same thing from several on-line sources (including Assembler Games, and they really know their stuff there), and so I've left the capacitor in my v1.6. Of course you could remove it from your 1.6 and replace it with a better capacitor, that store more power for longer and won't leak,
Anyway, for help and downloads for the original XBox, I think:
is currently the best place. The forum doesn't have a large membership (for some reason, the orignal XBox has always seemed under-represented on the 'net) but there are some knowledgable and helpful people on there, and many of the few remaining coders for the XBox post on there, so you can talk to them about their emulators/games/projects. That's sig-worthy that is! :))
