Nortons updates, doesn't nag or advertise.
So why does the fact it's free make it better than Norton???

Are you sure? I've heard numerous arguments that favour one over the other, depending on whom you ask. No clear advantage anywhere apparently.

It's about time that we the holders of the IP addresses have some protection to stop ANYBODY being able to obtain details from from knowing our IP. Surely thats a gross invasion of privacy and is tantamount to crime in itself. What next, they are allowed to get your bank details and empty your account.

I'm unlclear how they can prove to 100% it was your IP. I know every 'puter has its own, but can't this be circumvented like everything else and why are you responsible for everyone that uses your 'puter. Say I borrow a car and crash it, they dont hold the car owner responsible.

It's the being able to obtain personal details from the IP that annoys me the most. It's not like downloaders are committing murder is it.

And the fact thats it's free ensures that your PC is safer than a PC with Norton installed???

What a complete load of bollocks...

Conversely, does paying make Norton better? Does paying 50p more or less for Mcaffee make it better or worse?

I suggest that there is little in it for any of the commercial anti virus software. AVG is commercial - the free edition has the same updates as the commercial release. Only the licence is different.

Your firewall is much more important than anti-virus. Anybody stupid enough to run an application from email deserves what they get.

Aaaarrrrgh, oh no! The text is droppping off my screen and there is no money in my bank!!

Tell me about it, the car is getting serviced today and they keep phoning me up to tell me something else needs replacing, I can see my bank balance sinking further into the red before my eyes...

Garages so annoy me, the amount of times some garage bloke has said to me 'hmmm brake discs are bad, they'll need replacing' !

One time they said that i said to em funny how your other branch down the road just fitted a new set yesterday.

So many of them are a right con, sorry back to the original subject !...

My car (6 year old focus) in service since Tuesday the bill is rising.

Sad thing is the bits being replaced need it.

The car guides all give the focus 5/5. I wouldn't.

We have badly rusted brake pipes. Broken spring with rusted seized nuts on the bush arm. Some other stuff I forget. ?420 so far.

Stuff being left...rusted P/Steering pipes. Rusted clutch thingy.

    Sweet Jees.
