Bruce Lee I + II "Mega Let's Play Review Video"

Hi everyone and welcome to my MEGA let's play review video where I test several versions of the 1984 classic Bruce Lee followed by the brilliant Bruce Lee II homebrew unofficial sequel.
Versions include "Bruce Lee 1": ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, C64, Atari 8-bit, and the pc windows remade versions entited Ultimate Bruce Lee which contain 9 versions of the classic.
Bruce Lee II starts at 1:04:08 (C64 & CPC).
I hope you check it out :-D

  • I played the C64 version and didn't hate it.

  • I'd never heard of Bruce Lee II. I liked how on the amstrad version, not sure about c64, if you played as the big lad and held down and fire or similar. He would raise his arm and go WHOOOMM! Which we all thought was hilarious as kids :)
  • I've always thought a sequel to Bruce Lee for the Spectrum would have been a great idea: new levels, new baddies, ...
  • Bruce Lee II was a PC game from 2013 designed to resemble a C64 or CPC, thus you may not have heard about it. However Jonas Hultén conceived a true C64 version the other year, using the level designs and graphics of the PC game. It is quite spectacular. I don't know if someone has conceived a CPC, ZX, Atari etc version of BL2 in the same fashion. I know there was at least one more BL2 like game, but with further improved graphics on the C64 but just about any kung-fu adventure game can be made without the nostalgia associated with the original game.
  • original game for PC by Bruno R. Marcos, carlsson is talking about:

  • I was just disappointed the video didn't show the Chuck Norris fight ;)

It's a new homebrew and I wouldn't call it "another version" but rather an entirely different episode, with thoroughly new levels, just like Bruce Lee II. All 3 games are great IMO, and it would be great to have a construction kit too.
