I think i kept annoying him by acting like a child and sniggering when i was asking him stuff about what are you going to do about Mo and Alfie. I found it funny !

Did seem like a good bloke but did look like an extra from a 70's porn film with Ron Jeremy though.

I heard ole Fogarty managed to get the phone number of Doris ! ;)

Well they do say 'an oldie but a goodie' but i really am feeling ill thinking if that applies to good old Doris or not.

Ugh! - I've just been reminded of 'The Hopefuls' on an edition of 'The Word'...

    Ello..

    I read Icabod's comments..

I'd have liked to have met him (Icabod). Preferably while a bit more on the sober side, so he stood a chance of remembering we'd met :)

Also - Ben Dalglish played acoustics?! When? Where? I was there the full (public) day, and knew nothing of this... Another example of things going on that were completely without mention? I'm not saying I'd have recognised (m)any of the tunes, as he was mainly a SID chappy, but it'd still have been nice for this to be announced/advertised... Tch!

    Toodle-pip!

Sorry to say, but if he was the chap with the violin player, I've never heard such crap in my life.

No, Ben was the guitar player, no idea who the violin chap was. All of it was shit really music wise. I'm gonne try to get the lord god Tim Follin to go next year...

    ...then we'll be rocking! :D

Thanks Gerard - I'm sure I'd have remembered being introduced... I didn't get quite that drunk. Did I? Ah heck, it was a good day, so who cares as long as I didn't insult anyone who didn't deserve it.

Regarding the acoustic session - I only knew about it because I left the "Arcade Record-Holders" panel early (it was getting a little dull for me - no mention of fruit machines), which was when he was playing. I think the only thing that seemed to be announced was that panel (I certainly didn't know about the other events that went on that day).

Yes I agree that the music wasn't great, but the Monty Mole music is a very nice piece (Rob Hubbard is a good composer), and to hear it played live was rather nice, so if anyone managed to get a decent recording of that track I'd appreciate a copy. The rest of the music... meh!
