    The natives were restless...

    Spot the influences

There's definitely a lot of Radiohead in there.

    Heheh, yeah, probably! Anything else...?

We're a "multi-cultural" band - a pom on the drums, an [East] German fella on the keyboards, a pair of Indian lads on guitars (and vocals) and a proper homegrown Kiwi on bass

I'm feeling a hint of Floyd in there, during the intro at least? Sounding good. Is that an Ibanez you're playing?

Haha, yes a touch of Floyd. Yeah, the lead guitar is an Ibanez, rhythm is a Fender and the bass is a Schecter.
I'm playing the drums, a vintage (60's) Ludwig with Zildjian cymbals that cost about $100. An absolute bargain.
  • Iron Maiden live at Donington 1992 - i was there!
At the end of their set the crowd were so loud i couldn't hear what my mate was saying next to me.
A great day out, didn't get home till early on Sunday morning when my mum and dad were still asleep.

Sorry jp, for some reason I thought that was you on lead guitar! That is indeed an absolute bargain! I do love the sound of a Ludwig kit. They've got a lovely, heavy thump to them. :)

  • I love how it actually sounds like one of those crap songs they're complaining about, it even has the super fast bit near the end that seals the "Punk Rock" deal :))

    I'd say it was sh*t, but it's supposed to be....So I won't...

Or like most modern hip-hop, ludicrously overpriced over the top beats, with spastics belming over the top of them, and thinking they're rapping.

    trudat bro

there was a rumour going round a couple of years ago that Nas had bought a beat from The Neptunes for a million dollars. sad thing is it wouldnt even surprise me

edit- it was 2 million, and it was 12 yrs ago!

    http://hiphopdx.com/news/id.3617/title.nas-and-the-2-million-beat

he denies it but the neptunes dont

Wonder why he bought it from the Neptunes, and not N.E.R.D? The Neptunes were barely anything resembling hip-hop?

Oh well either way Neptunes, or N.E.R.D. I bet Pharell bought some tasty sandwiches that night, and possibly a Dr. Pepper to wash them down with? :))
