Pretty good collection of beats. Thank ye muchly.
Edit How annoying that the posted comment doesn't refresh the page. It's seemingly added on the same page as your quoted comment resides. Well, or so you think, until you realize it's a buggety glitch, and the comment is truly posted at the very end of the thread.
Editedit And there seems to be a problem with the URL. The forum software likes to add the full WoS URL in front of the posted URL (make sense?) Ah, bother.

  • cheers, thanks for listening. *doffs backwards baseball cap*

same posting glitch happens to me btw. if you reply to a thread and youre not on the last page it makes it look like its added your reply at the end of whatever page youre on... or maybe thats not a glitch?

Yep I know totally not my thing, it took a video of a girl let's just say I shouldn't have been watching to actually find out the name of this f**king awful "anthem" (Girl's from London by the way (surprise, surprise Kiss FM), huge tits :)) ).

But I've had this song stuck in my head since late 2004, or 2005 whichever year it came out when I heard it in Virgin Megastore in Newcastle. I think it was officially the last time I ever walked around Newcastle City Centre when I was high, last time I ever smoked weed at home, and actually had the wife with me when I was shopping, and she didn't care I was high.

Man I f*cking hate this song, but I have to listen to it to get it out system, it's been over a decade!!!!

EDIT: What makes it worse is this is the wrong version of the tune, the version I was looking for is pretty much the same but a bit slower, and longer......

What makes it even worse on top of that is I have a T-Shirt with that design with the spaceman on it, and I'm wearing it today as well, I feel like I need to burn my T-Shirt, I already have a bad week ahead of me, and this has just made it worse...

Sh*t's about to get weird I can tell....

  • Been listening to Ska all afternoon, as I was at the Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkstone for a family dinner (eat all you want for a tenner, roast beef, turkey, gammon, veggies, brilliant puddings).
There was music everywhere in the harbour area, lots of folks dressed up, scooters, rockers, all having a great time.

  • I've been listening to Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory the last couple of days for the first time in years. I wasn't aware of Chester Bennington's personal troubles until after his suicide but, blimey, some of those lyrics are a cry for help.

Only just seen this post (been checking the forums very sporadically lately)! Got this playing now, loving it so far! :)

Great timing actually, been listening to loads of instrumental hip-hop lately. Off to see DJ Shadow on Saturday too. :)

    ...and Justice For Jason.

I'd never noticed until I found this that the baseline of Metallica's classic ...And Justice For All has an incredibly muted baseline. This remedies that and boy does it add some depth to the tracks. It's very noticeable in the intro to Blackened at the start of the vid. Pity nothing can be done about those shitty tinny drums...

Oh wow, that sounds incredible, apart from Lars shitty drum sound can't believe they allowed those tinny drums to get through production
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...
  • Justice could have been one of the greatest metal albums ever if the bass and drums (whatever you think about Lars, those drum arrangements were pretty awesome) production was better. Such a shame.

Surprised that you guys hadn't heard the 'Justice for Jason' version before, it's been on YouTube for ages ;)

Heh, I'm listening to Justice now. It's damn good (but no, not the greatest ever). It reminds me of doing my paper-round with it on the walkman. There's nothing like shoving the news through a letterbox while hearing Hetfield complaining about the state of the nation :))

Blackened is a fecking ace opening track for any metal album it has to be said.
