used to have and justice... on tape and the bass was so weird it used to make my whole tape player shake even at low volume. no idea why, none of my other tapes did.
Only just seen this post (been checking the forums very sporadically lately)! Got this playing now, loving it so far! :)
Great timing actually, been listening to loads of instrumental hip-hop lately. Off to see DJ Shadow on Saturday too. :)
nice one, thanks for checking .... shadow live should be good. Entroducing is quality, need to listen to it again...dont think I ve heard it properly since I left my uni hall of residence where it seemed to get played religiously every single day for a year, to the point where it almost put me off it!
No Metallica album will ever be the greatest anything...
Heh, I'm listening to Justice now. It's damn good (but no, not the greatest ever). It reminds me of doing my paper-round with it on the walkman. There's nothing like shoving the news through a letterbox while hearing Hetfield complaining about the state of the nation :))
Blackened is a fecking ace opening track for any metal album it has to be said.
Pretty much what I think. I'm no Metallica fanboy by any stretch. They've not done a decent album since the Black Album, and even that wasn't that great. They've only done three good albums IMO - Master Of Puppets (best), And Justice and Black - I could never get into Ride The Lightning.

Ride and master are the pinnacle, justice was my era really tho

As adverse to just complaining in general the miserable old ****.
My step-brother was a roadie for Metallica for a few years and became friendly with Jason. Apparently Lars and James were complete bar-stewards towards him; putting him down, ridiculing his bass playing behind his back and comparing him to Cliff Burton. My step-bro never got on with either of them. Kirk Hammett's apparently a decent guy though.

No worries. Really enjoyed the whole album. Nice work, Chris. :)
Yup, been listening to Endtroducing a lot this week to get me revved up for the gig. Fantastic album!
Funnily enough, I've been sitting here listening to his latest album at work, and noticed a very Speccy-like noise at the start of one of the tracks. Sounds almost like a sped up bit of music from The Wild Bunch:
Skangkots....whilst taking my final hot tub, I'm gonna miss this thing :))
Back to stuffy old indibanana tomorrow, still got a couple of days off work, but they're bollocksed by default as I'm gonna have to readjust to nightshift hours....oh well I knew it was coming sooner or later...
After the rather cool ...Justice for Jason stuff on YouTube and listening to some of the metal versions of classic Abba songs on the way to work (some of which are REALLY good BTW) I started looking for some metalised classic pop songs on YT. This guys cover of Hey Jude is rather special:
