The best spyware program?

As i have a new PC i'm getting tired of Spyware Terminator so i got rid of it, does anyone know a decent spyware program to replace it? Mind you i have Malware bytes and Zone alarm so perhaps i don't need a spyware program.

    malwarebyes IS an anti spyware program

    i also use Avast AV
    and Comodo firewall, went off zone alarm years ago

    It's not great, but if you are on Windows 10 then Defender does this for you. Depends on your browsing habits but this should cater for most needs. A monthly scan with Malwarebytes as mentioned above is also useful.

    These programs slow down your system when running do it's about maintaining a balance.

    Install Noscript and Adblock Plus or similar to stop some of the nasties. Avira AV to mop up anything that gets past them - don't think I've ever had a virus infection on my PC, and you wouldn't believe the amount of dodgy porn sites I visit on a regular basis.



    Ahem.

    Oh yeah, and I run a Malwarebytes scan now and then but thats never found anything more threatening that the odd tracking cookie.

    ublock origin doesn't do too bad in firefox, works pretty good with adblock plus in conjunction.

    I use both Avast! and Malwarebytes (don't worry, they work well together, so they never clash or cause each other problems), and I also put them on every PC I build/repair/update, except when I have to put Kaspersky on one because the owner insists (usually because their bank says so). Kaspersky is excellent, and reasonably priced, but I've never had any problems with the free versions of Avast! and Malwarebytes, so I personally use and recommend them.

    I used to be a bad guy and neither avast nor malwarebytes could save me. I had to resort to a rescue cd from kaspesky. Now that I grow bigots I don't use antiviril anymore with the exception of kaspesky on evil Android. So my recommendation would be just go all tsarist with the combo yandex-kaspesky

    Malwarebytes is awesome, its saved my neck quite a few times.
    If anyone is using an XP machine, then Sophos say they don't support it, but can - and Kaspersky updates still apply to v6 - 8, which work on XP. Just thinking that a lot of you probably have old PC's with floppy drives and stuff for the sake of compatibility, or writing discs, or old software that you rely on that hasn't been updated in decades.

    Years ago i used to use AVG but it became useless at detecting any viruses so went to Norton which was a BIG mistake. It locked me out of a lot of games thinking i was a 'risk' became bloated and used a lot of resources which slowed the computer down. It was a bast to uninstall. I had to get my brother to do it as i just couldn't get rid of it. I'll never use Norton again.

    My McAfee which I didn't want on this PC in the first place still reminds me it's out of date, you'd think after almost 4 years the c*nt would've given up by now :))

    Nah, he fled from Belize and hasn't been deported back there. I think he's still a person of interest but I don't believe the Belize government has asked for extradition for a few years now.

    Boozey, try Geek Uninstaller. It cleans up a lot more than the standard uninstallers and I had to use it once to remove all trace of McAfee's crapware.
