Watched 'They Came from Beyond Space' the other day, I see it was on again repeated on Horror channel.

It was OK but not the one I thought it was, I'd assumed it was the 60's US one where the 'affected' people ended up with that cross on their necks, having seen the 80's remake of this I want to rewatch the original b+w one.

I tried to record Phase IV yesterday as I'd seen it years ago, or I think I did. Wanted to watch it but my recorder decided to ignore its scheduled recording, its not been right since I did the firmware update :D I may look into if I can revert it back down a version once I've watched what it (did) manage to record lol.

Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
  • I just came across and started to watch The House on Haunted Hill , starring Vincent Price, on YouTube. I've never watched it, seems a cool cult film.
  • One of the first dvds I ever saw was a remake of it

Not one that I can recall seeing although I've made a note to keep an eye out for it appearing on Freeview if possible.

Later 'tonight' viewing will be Silent Hill assuming the box has decided to record it that is. :)

  • Daredevil (TV) on Netflix. Bloody hell it's violent! Really good though, the fight choreography is astonishing.

I enjoyed that one and watched it a while back (I think I posted about it on here!). I like anything with Vincent Price to be honest. I seem to recall the leading lady screamed a lot!

  • I've been re-watching The Office (UK) these last couple of nights. Recently bought the box set. Still tickles me rather a lot. :D
  • Currently on season 4 of Ray Donovan, really enjoying it now, just downloaded season 5 as well.

  • Hoping the 'box' decides to record a few things. I did re-watch Island Of Terror recently although it seems to have been trimmed down a little bit I think but it was a mid-day showing I guess when it got recorded. I had seen it a couple of times before, its not too bad even now given its age, the storyline is quite interesting. A 'modern' remake of it would be quite decent I expect too. :)
  • After waiting for ages for W to show season 4 (and final) of The Strain i've read it won't be shown in the UK as W dropped it for some reason so i guess i'll never see it and no other broadcaster has bought the rights to it. I really enjoyed the show, you think they'd have the courtesy to show the final season. It's not on box sets either :(

  • Maniac cop (1988) lol

  • Thanks Mel for posting them. Love these crap horror films! :)
  • I have Horror Hospital on dvd - it's so bad it's good. Michael Gough plays the baddie and it even has Robin Askwith as the star, plus some boobies thrown in for good measure! :))

  • Thanks for that Mel, not as bad as I anticipated. A fairly nice, if slow, little story spoiled at the end by the monster reveal and only because it was a rather poorly made creature. The lead up to the final reveal is quite good, the sound effects are reasonable. Its a cliche ridden story of course but I'd say worth a watch with your lady by your side ready to grab you when the scary bits start!
