I, Zarchos, have a major announcement, that will
benefit the Sinclair Spectrum retrocommunity.
Stay tuned.
Video available on my YT channel tomorrow, 30th of November, in the evening.
(If last scheduled operations, which I have just no grip on, occur as they should, today).
;-)

BTW good for you with the caring for hedgehogs, they need all the love they can get, wonderful little creatures I had a friendly one too, not a pet, just a frequent visitor.

BTW Love the thread title, completely hooked me in!
The same thing we do every night, Pinky - try to take over THE WORLD!

I think he is based on France, so time will be the same, more or less.

! Standby alert !
“There are four lights!”
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)
Wonderful IF it ever happens, you'll have your work cut out just clearing away the mounds of old tires and making the place habitable. Let us know when something of interest to Sinclair enthusiasts actually transpires.

So, what's the announcement?Ah, I see, or not.
Sounds somewhat cool and somewhat interesting. But on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a "somewhat".

Been there, done that, well sort of. Helped a mate of mine who bought a deserted air base to use for his sportscar building dream. Getting the building past all the various mandatory inspections for wiring, plumbing, safety in the workplace and especially fire prevention, what a nightmare and the costs just spiralled upward so his cash was almost all used up before a spanner ever touched a motor.
So more power to Monsieur/Madame Zarchos. Its a long journey from idea to implementation.

I have posted more infos on the atari-forum, which is where I got the best positive response to my annoucement.(same with the QL forum).
(Meaning : no sarcasms).
If you think this won't happen, then think again.
Real estate investment is my field of expertise : I probably was the youngest in this area, working on entire buildings in central Paris, with my own business, at the age of 25.
I did that for about 10 years and then more or less retired.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 : easy, 10 : hard), as far as what I did in the past is concerned, what you have seen has rank #6
Btw : my channel is mainly about the Archies, yes, simply because there is no real YT channel dedicated to these Acorn machines, and I code on them.
I grew up with the Speccy, which I just love, and I intend to develop on the latest revamped QL (you can read on the ql-forum too). For the rest I intend to provide means to developpers, and encourage multiplatforms releases.
For the machines, well, I own quite a few, do not worry ;-) and probably the most important collection in continental Europe of Acorn 32 bit gear, including a rare working prototype A500.
Now, as it turns out reading some of the comments, understand that clearly : I'll be happy to share infos and so on, but avoid sarcasms and other ways to try to laugh at me : I am not exactly in a mood.
And honestly : I just do not need you or your money or whatever.
So : for the bashers, the haters, the jealous and so on : just go hang yourself somewhere and leave me alone.
For the others, which I believe, are the vast majority, well I'll be very happy to give more explanations, and of course welcome you warmly when it is all completed.
Xavier Louis Tardy aka Zarchos.
Good luck with this Xavier :)

Bytes:Chuntey - Spectrum tech blog.
I laughed !
It'll most probably be 2020 because I need the town or region to build the parkings lot next to the buildings.
It is scheduled, but I still haven't got ll the details.
It means I will not have to include that in the renovation works.
In the meantime, with a friend of mine, we are going to create a business of flying drones ;-)
Sorry guys, no tune, this time, but you can enjoy my talent as a singer ;-)
