If it is true that Snoke established the Force bridge between the two of them, why might the bridge still be there near the end of the movie, when Rey boards the Falcon and Kyle O'Ren (or whatever his name is) "sees" her close the landing door.
Last thought for now... I'm pretty sure Phasma is ok. Right? I mean, she's basically the new version of Bubba Fat. And everyone knows he survived the Sarlacc.
OK, definitely the last one for today... I read in a reputable news article that Luke is dead and gone. I did not take it as such that Luke had died, more like that he has transcended to become one with the force and he now has the ability to come back. I mean fully as a person and not just a Force-ghost with blue outlines. I mean, why would he otherwise say "See you around, kid". Is he just going to come back to haunt Kyle O'Ren without any physical interaction? Then his whole stalling bit was solely to keep the spark of the rebellion alive. Which, yes, technically it was but it's nearly useless if you are then killing off the main attraction to the SW movies. They already killed Han, and "Leia" is also gone. Not Luke too?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :((

... and an absolutely horrible Star Wars movie.
There... I said it.
I've seen it twice now, and am going to see it again tonight for the third time.
I just can't get over them killing Luke. I mean, that can't be right, right?
And lasers can't bend/change direction in space!
And when your space vessel runs out of fuel, it doesn't lose momentum and just go off in to the ditch!
BAH! ~X(

Spoiler:
Ahh, but it's now "normal" for Sci-Fi to break the laws of physics... can't confuse the uneducated, now can we, may harm the profit margin... :))
So engine failure, power failure, control system failure or fuel starvation all bring a ship to a halt, whereas in the real world, a body in motion, continues at the same velocity unless another force causes a change.
Give that, lasers bending or changing direction must be normal!!!

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)
I've seen it. It was always going to be the case that there would be elements which would "remind the older viewers" of sections of the original movies.
But I think it has enough plot twists and turns to both be original and entertaining. Well, at least, it held my attention for the whole film.
Don't click the spoiler if you have not yet seen the film...
Spoiler:
However, it was a bit unrealistic for the rebel alliance to go from having a small but capable fleet (complete with x-wing fighters and bombers) down to just having the Millennium Falcon

Yeah, about the bombers ... Bombs "dropping" in vacuum ... Say what now??????
Spoiler:
Think you mean things dropping when there's no gravity, as they were in deep space. Things on the moon drop in a vacuum. But yeah, they do tend to overlook inconveniences like the laws of physics.
Being the child I am, I had a bit of a chuckle when Snoke said "spunk".
Ah, but it's a kids film, not a physics lesson. You bend the rules if it makes it more fun.
Spoiler:
Tractor beams are a thing, so the empire ships are presumably attempting to slow them down, without continuous thrust they're pulled back into firing range.
The ships are clearly large enough to have some sort of artificial gravity (since people just walk around) so presumably it extends far enough for bombing to work. And there were TIE bombers as far back as ESB, so it's hardly a new infraction of physics.
Everything is controlled by a single magic force, physics is already out of the window.... ;-)
I watched it today and it was really dissapointing. Definitely the worst SW film I've seen (even worse than eps. I, II or III).
Spoiler:
A stupid humour (i.e. how Luke throwed the laser sword that Rey gave him) and there's a problem with the characters. Too many main ones and dispersed. Poe, Rey, Finn, ... Strange and short role of Venicio del Toro. The early and sudden dead of Snoke. Those stupid wizard nuns in the island, those damned porgs, the patetic role of the once-great Chewbacca. The casino... and how Luke got the milk in the island... bleeeurgh!
I did like ep. VII. I liked Rogue One. It was great. But this one was a bad film. I'm afraid ep. IX will be a dissapointing end the SW saga doesn't deserve.
And now I'm watching The Empire Strikes Back on TV. The irony...
Interesting how it's no longer called "hyperspace" but "lightspeed". And "laser sword"
instead of "lightsaber". Were there any other oddities like that, that you noticed?
You mean "siblings"? Yeah, maybe they are, or not, or something.
Don't forget, now that Disney owns the rights, there has to be the obligatory amount of orphans. So, you have the kids/orphans at the horsey races. And Rey is evidently an orphan too.
Finally saw The Last Jedi today and really enjoyed it!
It's not perfect, but no Star Wars movie is, and 'fans' completely slagging it off are being disingenuous IMO.
It is overly long, and rather than having a lot of surprising twists, I'd say that the plot really just consists of one MacGuffin after another! So it's full of plot holes, but most SciFi is anyway. And while I enjoyed the bits of humour sprinkled generously throughout, just a couple of times it was taken too far and seemed too out of character.
But overall it's an enjoyable addition to the saga, with some really different dramatic and artistic flourishes.
I liked TLJ. Although I preferred The Force Awakens and Rogue One, which I thought were both great. And I did consider myself to be an old school Star Wars fan. Generally, I think these new films are going pretty well so far.
There seem to be quite a few people in general (hardcore SW fans?) really hating TLJ, which I find quite odd. I would suggest, despite it's arguable flaws, that The Last Jedi is still leagues ahead of episodes 1-3 in terms of dialogue, script, likeable characters and overall Star Warsy-ness.
Episodes 1-3 seem to get worse every time I watch them! Although 3 is a bit better. I watched episode 2 with the kids the other day and found myself feeling quite board. Even the best bits now seem overloaded with too much obvious CGI. All the bloody clones seem to be [now-dodgy-looking] CGI. That film really needs some people in costumes, puppets, models and sets that are actually made of wood - just like Hayden Christensen's acting. The CGI Yoda seems terrible to me these days too. Like watching a cartoon. May as well just stick Rodger Rabbit in it.
And dare I say it, even episodes 4-6 seem a little ropey-er than I remember them when I watch them with the kids now. I still love them, but one of the lenses from my rose-tinted spectacles may have fallen out, and I realise some of the love is from childhood nostalgia. Which is fine.
My point is, I cannot quite understand why some people hate these recent films as much as they do. ALL the films can be criticised if you really want to.
Apparently someone started an online petition to get Disney to completely re-make Episode 8! Idiot! SURELY Disney should be asked to re-make episodes 1-3 !?

Saw it twice. Not an all time classic but it was good. Seen some people say 4/10 etc or worst film ever which is ridiculous
Well worth seeing
