...optimistic view of human nature there...?... There doesn't sound like any striving to get ahead, competition or asserting oneself to dominate others there... ;) Although I share much of your sentiments about doing away with belief and substituting it with real knowledge, we don't always have the luxary of time to be able to question everything we think with or about... Fact is, we often take shortcuts in our thinking, to make thinking quicker, using rules of thumb more than precise equations - its what separates us from the robots... But still, I do share the value you have for questioning everything, or at least as much as we can - it all contributes to a better understanding...
I had to laugh when I saw Scotties proof!!!... Haven't seen that show in years... Might not be admissible in a court of law, or a classroom, as a proof - but it was entertaining... (Pretty much sums up my darts ability too, I might add)... ;)
