I gotta try making it really thick and then seeing if it can be played! It has to be a weird sound resulting.Of course you'd have to do the clean first then do a second copy as the first peel will be full of all the dirt particles.
Watching that video, I was hoping the guy would try to play the glue part. I wonder what the inverse of the grooves sounds like. It wouldn't make any sense, I suppose but just the prospect of being able to hear some gibberish is worth it to me :-D
